I’m not surprised that you’re Alliance. You clearly have no concept of loyalty.
I have been playing since 2004, and I’ve always felt that the Alliance should suffer. When I play my Alliance alts, I hope to suffer, because that should be part of the Alliance experience.
The Alliance is wrong and it deserves to be abused.
in real life, i have been in a coma that nearly killed me. came out of it after 5 days, only to get pleurisy on one side, and a week later, on the other,
then after mostly recovering some ten years later, found out i had breast cancer. had to have the breast and lymph nodes removed. and then chemo. my chest looks like the back of darth vader’s head. the chemo ruined my 20-20 vision and gave me diabetes, the last day of treatment.
the chemo port in my chest was infected and the nurse flushed it with the infection in it, right into my blood stream nearly killing me again. and today, i have rheumatoid arthritis so badly, that my fingers are pointing in the wrong directions.
so what do i do, i play a fantasy video game, where i’m a whole healthy individual, only to be told by somebody, that i deserve to suffer in real life, because i play the same video game as him.
Don’t conflate the forums for the community. most people play both sides and don’t care about muh faction loyalties. Also in my personal experience Horde players have largely been the most mature and disciplined players whilst Alliance have some phenomenal individual skill players they are like herding cats for team effort content, be it pvp or pve.
I’m not convinced that the Alliance and Horde player base are culturally distinct. In fact, since most people appear to play both factions, the only unique element that could make one faction or the other especially toxic are the faction-loyal partisans. So, maybe we need to be more self-critical.
oh insightful. i get it now. yeah, i dunno why i didnt realize it before this . its basically like false advertising, where they lure you in with visions of fantasy races to play and then slam down reality on ya after you realize you’re playing a race they dont actually want anyone to play. its there, but you shouldnt actually play it unless you’re a masochist. of course, you dont know the lore for quite some time and by then you’re already invested. sneaky.
Or maybe you played WarCraft III first and came to WoW with the full understanding that the entire Alliance is hot garbage and should be discarded in toto.
