Oh I’m pretty sure whatever I said is true. I just don’t feel like putting in any effort to bring up proof of something which can be viewed plainly in everyday stuff.
If you must push me a lot I would say nobody in the opposite faction would have had the guts to do what that Horde playing band did at one of the Blizzcon. Yes it had apologies but you must wonder what even led some random players in the Horde to spew vitriol out of nowhere.
It’s not simple as some people did it and it doesn’t generalize the entire bunch. Of course it doesn’t generalize everyone but it starts a thought process that it starts somewhere and it’s deep.
But hey I’m not really bothered to dig deep for something found on the surface. So I’m pretty confident.
Yes and no… Agreeing or disagreeing is still relevant no matter the majority or minority. It could be about the littlest thing and if someone disagrees then someone disagrees. And for all anyone knows it could be for a valid reason that many people may not have even thought about. However, sure, in almost all cases if the majority overrules the minority it usually means that there is in fact an issue that should be addressed.
However, I think the title should be more so a why are certain people toxic to certain people. Since, it’s not just the Horde. It’s anyone from any faction. But, I also think the term toxic is thrown about rather loosely sometimes.
Though, I do understand that there are some people that come off a bit strong and maybe even aggressive when it comes to defending their standpoint, and that’s just something that will always happen…
Except you know that isn’t true. They would have shrieked about how low poly and mob-animated the Vrykrul are and how they don’t fit in doors and how polished up the Zandalari are, etc. I honestly don’t see the Alliance playerbase on this forum being happy with anything except possibly just getting handed blue-eyed Blood Elf models, honestly.
Because everything is a competition. You think you have it bad? Well, our problems are so much worse! Also, if Blizzard devotes time to fixing your issues, then that leaves less time for them to work on us, so suck it up buttercup!
That’s the mindset of most of the playerbase. They may not actively realize it, but it’s what they are doing.
I’ve tried saying it before but good luck getting a positive response around here. The goal should be getting everyone to have fun playing the game but instead it’s always us VS them. It will be a glorious day when they finally get rid of the faction divide.
The Horde attracts more toxic people. They tend to be the types into justifying evil acts as “morally grey” and have a warped, relativistic sense of right and wrong.
This is the first xpac i’ve mained both at different points and experienced the story on both ends.
In the end i wound up sticking with the horde cause of friends/orcs. But Ive gotta say i have a hard time being toxic to allies now. Their pretty cool, but the overdose of humans was a little too strong this time around. Makes sense from a story perspective, but gets old.
I feel empty inside now, i need something to hate in this game
When the enslaved orcs broke the blood curse and won back their autonomy, the humans should’ve extended a peace treaty. Instead, your Alliance tried to kill them. You tried to kill the peaceful Tauren. You tried to kill the displaced Trolls. You gave rise to Arthas who victimized his own people, and when we reclaimed our freedom and broke his control, you condemned us as monsters and tried to purge us from existence.
Your own kin.
Shameful.
Your wayward prince desecrated the elven lands - feasted upon the souls of your allies - and you turned a blind eye.
When the elves vowed vengeance, you named them enemies.
You attacked goblin refugees upon the high seas, and you recklessly endangered the Pandaren and their entire way of life by mortally wounding Shen-zin Su with your ship. If not for the heroism of the Horde, their isle would wander no more.
In your weakness, you failed. In our strength, we survived.
thats the lore, written by blizzard writers. the players didnt actually do any of that stuff. that predated actual world of warcraft. in fact, the factions are written by blizzard writers. would you prefer there wasnt factions? this is what you need to say, rather than saying the only other faction in the game needs to have unhappy players because of the writers. thats some twisted logic.
clearly, if you’ve gotten to the point you think real people should suffer because blizzard wrote lore, you’re not ready for a two faction game. you just want a game where its just one viewpoint, all the time. that means only one faction.
