Why is the horde community so toxic to

You’re literally posting in an Alliance whine thread right now.

Yes and I’m saying the Horde whines more.

For example the cringeworthy threads made by most Horde posters about Lore make Male Human Paladins look like 200 IQ Stanford geniuses.

It’s that bad.

This sounds like a very specific and bold claim, care to back this up with some evidence?

Because they are scared Blizzard b will listen to them

I don’t need to.

I can point you to “helpful” topics:

  1. How the Horde’s fanfiction of Genn and Jaina destroying Teldrassil suddenly changed to crying about Sylvanas.

  2. Warmode bonuses favouring Alliance due to population imbalance.

  3. Either Saurfang threads or Sylvanas threads.

I could go on and on. I don’t care whether you believe me or not. The proof is there in General Discussion forum.

You could just reply “The burden of proof is on you” or the popular “If you can’t back it up it’s false”. I’ve seen it long enough and I’m not bothered to put in the effort just to satisfy you.

Nice attempt at deflecting. You made an unsupported statement, it is okay to admit it.

Not my problem to satisfy random strangers on the Internet. Believe me or not I do not care.

My point stands.

I’d wager each player has a faction that appeals more to his/her personality than the other. It might just be a simple case of the Horde being portrayed as more aggressive, attracting… well, more aggressive people.

Your point doesn’t stand though. You provided no evidence to your claim and only made a subjective statement.

That’s exactly what I said. I don’t really care whether random strangers who can’t put in the effort to remember popular stuff believe me or not.

My point stands regardless of your belief or disbelief. Basically: I don’t need your validation to keep my point standing.

This is just lazy talk for someone who doesn’t want to put any effort into supporting their claim or has nothing to support it with. Again an entire deflection strategy.

That isn’t how this works. Making statements that are unsupported and then claiming you don’t care what others think when they question it does nothing in the goals of discussion and debate.

Should I care whether you think this is a deflection or how it works?

Please enlighten me.

Well this is the pot calling the kettle black for sure, because if the horde even tries to complain we get flooded by alliamce players saying “that doesnt count” or “alliance has it worse” or “your the devs favorite you cant complain” or any of the other variety of anti horde mannerisms. Plus i have seen far more alliance players spreading toxicity lately than horde, just look at all the “punish the horde”, “horde is evil”, “execute all horde” kinda threads going around lately. Alliance is definately not innocent when it comes to being toxic.

But to get more to your point, why do we get so “toxic”? There are few reasons:
1.) This is a game with faction warfare in the middle of an xpac that focuses on faction rivalry. Of course horde players are going to be prideful and make fun of the alliance, its encouraged with the tone of the xpac. And the alliance is guilty of it too, see above.

2.) When i get “toxic” is when the alliance blatantly ignore or dismiss what they do have, because the horde got something. Legitmate cases of loosing stuff (like cata) i wont dispute, because something was lost and removed. But this xpac has been nothing but the alliance winning every battle, the alliance standing unified (or at least far more so than the horde), and the alliance getting the morale high ground. Yet they have the nerve to say their story sucks? They have the nerve to say they get nothing? They got something, they just dont appreciate it. And I would trade every “horde” cinematic and plotline we have for just one patch of alliance style unification and success.

3.) They are trolls. A lot of people make both the crying posts and “toxic” posts to try and stirt the pot. Much like you did.

I am one of the nicest people that you’ll probably ever meet… This is a poor generalization…

I would think someone is posting on the forums and commenting in divisive topics for the purpose of discussion and debate. In that case most people would be there to discuss in the purpose of seeking truth and persuasion.

The only other reason for you to make the kind of statements you made is for the purpose of propaganda. Which would be fine it it was done in a sort of over the top joking way but I didn’t get that vibe from the post. This seemed like you were just upset by the post and made an unsupported statement because you were agitated.

You could have just dismissed my opinion as invalid. The fact that you seem to be bothered by my post despite me refusing to put in effort to search way too old topic seems to suggest that somewhere you believe what I said to be true. At least on some level.

But we know that can’t happen, in the post above he makes it clear he’s basing his accusations on how he ‘feels’. so… :smile_cat:

Thank You. At least you will not be bothered by my post and just generally consider me a random spammer or a troll and move on instead of just worrying yourself unnecessarily.

Well I leave it up to you how you want to define yourself. I prefer to try to base my observations on tangible evidence when possible. If I’m going to make a claim but preface it with ‘I feel’…then it’s clear my feelings aren’t concrete evidence and people are going to point that out.

Why would I do that, attacking unsupported bold statements is the fun part of the forums.

Frankly I don’t know if it matters, nitpicking over the specific number of posts seems kind of pointless. This whole forum is full of whining, some of it I think is worthy of it and most of it not.
