Why is the horde community so toxic to

OP you sound pretty toxic towards the Horde community.

Im toxic for asking a question? Thanks for your input.

Oh Darling, it goes beyond the game. If you wear Gucci then the Chanel fans hate you since you have no fashion taste. The reverse is just as bad

Chanel is the best darling everyone knows that.

Almost everything you said there can be flipped with a light dusting of lateral thinking.

You seem to believe the number of posts is a valid means of determining satisfaction with specific issues. That… is short sighted due to the many other variables come into play. Is it worth whining about? Can I ignore the thing I don’t like? Is it game breaking? Do I have to go to work? Do I care enough to post? Do I even know all this stuff or do I just play whats right in front of me? Did I leave the oven on? Perhaps the alliance complaints are not indicative of bias but rather the people who like to vent on forums.

Personally I don’t feel the alliance are nearly as unhappy or victimised as the vocal forum goers believe.

Your initial question was not toxic, however your followups with your reasoning on why you are right while completely disregarding some posts from Alliance (even in this thread) could be seen in that way.

Once again, it is not a Horde vs Alliance thing. It is a human vs human thing, and I don’t mean the Warcraft race.

You know Wrath came out I was like this is a beastly Expansion, Warlords of Draenor came out I was like yuck due to certain changes, but I loved most everything else.

Pandaria I loved the quirky humor, and the fact they Easter egged a bunch of Anime content I liked.

Legion came out I like it too, I hated how they removed Silence from Blood Elves arcane torrent all cause a few casters were angry.

Heck BFA is really good as far as I am concerned, sure there are a few changes I dislike, but their are a lot more I do like.

My main dislike is so many Allied races added and yet no new classes, and they keep talking about Tinkerer and I am like really why just one? and why one I don’t care for or want to see and many more think like me.

And then you get us bifactional players who throw a monkey wrench in this toxic tribalism. For Azeroth!

Maybe we are toxic against ourselves.

As one of the more revered leaders in World of Warcraft has said

“For Azeroth!” - Varian Wrynn, Legion expansion introduction.

He understood the true plight we endure, he understood what Azeroth needed in one of it’s darker hours. Sadly, our darkest hour has yet to come.

I don’t understand this tribalism-- I play both sides and don’t agree with about 99% of complaints that come from the Horde or the Alliance.

I dunno, Alliance have always tended to be a lot whinier imo, even in periods when they were objectively much better off.

I do play both factions, before someone comes in with “m-m-m-m-m-muh Horde bias”

Do you have a favorite sports team? It is like that. I don’t really get it either since I have characters on both sides but people really like belonging to groups. They want their group to be on top or the best. It really makes no sense when you have the option to play both sides and request that both sides get equal treatment.

In the end it really does look like Blizzard did what they set out to do with the faction war. They managed to divide the community up by having one appear to be the favored child. This also works in their favor because a divided community cannot or maybe will not stand together to work toward better change for everyone…well not the Naga but everyone else.

Nope-- I don’t.

Neither do I but I live in Alabama. I once committed the sin of confusing an Auburn fan with an Alabama fan. What happened makes the Alliance vs Horde faction war seem like an episode of Hello Kitty.

Basically if you look at any type of sports fan you see the same dynamic taking place just 100% worst.

No Hate-- In SC myself… Ever gotten forced to Deal with USC and Clemson fans? It’s like watching a bunch of primitive neanderthal’s.

Ah, college foot season in the south shudders

It’s like watching the Magic School Bus and Thomas the Tank Engine in a head on collision.

Frankly the problem is with the amount of whining and how it has morphed. What could be some legitimate complaints and stuff to have a discussion about has morphed into a forum wide conspiracy that blizzard hates alliance and loves the horde, that the horde story and all these things are so amazing while the alliance side is entirely bad. Things like this make it hard to even care about the legitimate problems, hard to feel empathy.

I feel the Horde whine 100 times more than Alliance.

All you have to do is wait for the weight to be on the other foot. I’ve seen hardcore Horde players come out of the woodwork writing PHD level posts whining about how they are being destroyed in Lore, Warmode etc. etc.
