Video proof would also suffice, if you get the time.
Have to wait for them to bring it back up. If they do before pre-patch release. If not everyone will know in likely 12 days.
A lot when I do archaeology.
Or any gathering, or treasure hunting. Skyriding is best for long distances.
Seriously, I donât see the problem. 5 seconds is nothing.
this is my concern. Druids are getting hard screwed over by this change, losing one of the key perks to being a druid.
It works this way on live just fine and nothing is broken or out of balance.

Yâall really do have this obsession with blaming one guy.
Drama aside, the toggle time is stupid. But someone pointed out to me that it takes five seconds to swap specs. So the running theory is that swapping all mounts to dynamic flying is a similar process and thatâs why it takes that long.
In other words, itâs most likely a technical limitation of the system. Not a âLaWyEr GuY bAd!!!â thing.
Because if you think about it, since we can swap mounts right now, we know itâs not a gameplay cheese theyâre concerned with. So it has to be technical in nature.
Because the only one left that is anti flying is that one. The other one was sent packing because he couldnât behave properly around his coworkers professionally.

This is where Iâll be as well. Itâs handy now to have either mount on the action bar, if I have an intermediate step, Iâm just going to leave it on original flying and ignore flappy flight all together.
Did Druids lose their instant cast flight or something? Because the last video I saw, there was no cast time for dynamic or static for them.
It works this way now because there are skyriding mounts and there are TBC flying mounts. This wonât be the case in TWW. A lot of mounts will be able to use either.
Cause theyâll also be under the rule of 5 second to switch from sky flight form to the other. No more instant flight, so to speak.
Once they bump most mounts to dynamic, you wonât be able to.
Right now, they are split. On live most still having bc riding.
This is the greatest in this thread. Having a toggle at all is enough for whatever valid reason one would have to switch. Sounds like OP is bad at dragon riding and just wonât admit it.
So youâve unlocked Static Flight on the PTR, and this one mount is able to be used for TBC flying even though your âflight modeâ is set to Skyriding? Is that really what youâre saying?
Edit: Even in this article from Blizzard, it says:
Itâs important to note that any mount that doesnât support Skyriding will be grounded if Skyriding is active.
The unlock is just for the new content. The toggle will likely be available everywhere else at pre-expansion patch or when expansion goes live.
So it doesnât change anything for their instant casts.
Well thatâs just false.
It worked for me on the ptr. I was in skyriding yes.
Yeah, that makes sense, which makes the question even more pertinent. Why does the article from Blizzard say one thing, and yet, thereâs someone saying it doesnât actually work that way, and that you can use this one mount to get around the 5 second toggle? Due to the phrasing in the article, I didnât think that would be possible at all, since that one mount would be grounded if Skyriding is active.
Agreed.
I was already 100% behind TBC normal flying usage but for me now it will be 110% for sure.
