The new talent trees were designed to stand alone, so why do we still have access to conduits/soulbinds/covenant abilities? I know we’re between seasons right now and none of this really matters but it’s really hard to get a feel for the new class designs with this amalgamation of abilities and talents.
Please disable all Shadowlands stuff just like tier sets were disabled.

I primarily arena. So simply stepping out of Shadowlands doesn’t fix this issue for me.

I think it’s totally getting shut down for PvP or instanced content when DF launches. Don’t let the guy above you bait you.
Yeah, it is. Just wishing it would get shut down now so we can start to get a feel for how classes feel with the new talents.

Pls disable all of the covenant bs(abilities, traits, etc). Shadowlands is already over.

Technically not since shadowlands rewards are still ongoing and blizz calls it a post-season. Only on DF launch day will that be true.

Ppl are already tired of Sl, let they get to max level and not have to worry about the boring SL grind for borrowed power.

You and others getting rolled while being sub 290 is not because of SL borrowed power. It’s because you don’t have gear. And people coming back for SL empirically will not have time to get characters geared up enough to even reach 290+ anyways.

The reason for this is because some of the legendaries are key elements and cap stones for dragon flight. Currently to compete still in end game we need those but dont have enough talent points to get those cap stones as well as talents that help enable them.
I actually don’t care about getting rolled, in fact I feel like I’m doing fine. But I don’t know if that’s because I have double leggo, fleshcraft, conduits, or if MW monk is actually just really solid.
This kind of stuff is a big let down for returning players and new ones.
It should have been shut down already, covenants are the laughing stock of shadowlands. Imagine making a cool cosmetic rp choice and ruining it with abilities because your ego is so high.

It’s weird using the NF and Necrolord covenant abilities at once, but I’ll enjoy these last breaths of weirdness.
It’s honestly horrible for balance because a good at least 75 percent of all the shadowlands borrowed power is in the trees in some way or another including conduits, covenant abilities and legendary powers. Turning off only the tier has made it so some specs have way more then others because of layout. It’s an offseason so its not a big deal but like OP said it has made it almost impossible to actually get a feel for where your spec is.
