Why does pirate day only last 1 day. I wish blizz would make it last at least 4 days in game.
Because it’s reflecting a real world thing that also only gets 1 day, and there’s no actual content associated with the event, so there’s no reason to have it last longer. You literally just go look like a pirate for a bit. Kill the 1 rare for the toy if you haven’t yet. And… ???
Personally I prefer the weird Mushroom event in Zangarmarsh over Pirate Day.

Other WoW holidays don’t follow real life holidays exactly. So why not make it Pirate Days? Day before, day of, day after.

I think it should be called pirate weekend or something like that. From like friday to sunday.
1 day is to short really, for any holiday.
I mean, halloween lasts one day in real life, but in wow it goes on for 2 weeks. Well technically 2 days if we are talking about day of the dead. I think pirate day needs a severe overhaul anyways, because there isn’t really enough to do on it anyways in my op. But it would be nice to have more than one day associated with pirates day. It should be called pirates week or pirates weekend and have more days associated to it.

Because it’s called Pirate’s Day, plural.
Basically it’s one of WoW’s earliest versions of a public holiday, like Day of the Dead.

I think pirates are the precursors to modern politicians. Seriously.
Does anyone think that anyone who has political power are good people. Didn’t think so. They have stolen and shafted alot of folks to get where they are. Then they tell us commoner’s it isn’t ok to do those things.

I always figured it was because the goblins in charge of Booty Bay had a contract that only allows piracy for one day as the price for more than that one day was too high for pirates to pay. Would explain the 50k price for pirate dragon armor honestly… it’s them paying their fee

My theory on why each year feels shorter than the one before has to do with ratios/percentages. When you’re ten years old, a year is 1/10th of your life, 10%. But when you’re fifty years old, a year is only 1/50th of your life, 2%.
