I honestly think an idea like this could gain popularity with traction though. Just gotta put your voice out there, aye?
Because everyone loves aoeâing 4000000 mobs in legion. There I said it since no one wants to admit it.
I got an Azerite helm that was a 15 ilevel upgrade to what I had on from an emissary and it was a dps loss. Whatâs the point if the upgrades donât even improve your output?
If they got rid of the timer, Iâd be more inclined to do them. I can not stand timed content. Iâve always felt it cheapens the experience.
I find that it does help me find good players. Players with higher scores have a tendency to be much better than players with low scores. The amount of people paying 2 mil+ gold for a 1k rating is very, very low.
You are free to ask every applicant to fill out an application form and take 20 minutes to go through them and I will use raider io scores. If your method is better you should really have the pick of the litter and youâll do just fine and your raider io score will skyrocket as a side effect. I know you donât do mythic+ carries.
If you are skilled you will have no problem getting a high raider io score. It sounds like you really feel entitled to be in the groups with people who you think run M+15âs all day every day. Tough luck
Your highest dungeon on time is a +4. xD
Mythic plus is a direct result of moving human assets from diablo to wow. WoW dungeons and rng gear are the bastard children of the Diablo universe.
I like Diablo.
I like WoW.
I hate Wowablo.
Itâs blizzards and raider iOS fault that he isnât doing 10s.
Youâre joking, right?
Trash has never been this hard and bosses are, well, bosses!
Several things Iâve seen. Poorly designed packs. Requires far more crowd control than legion. Adding low level affixes was a poor choice. Should have been same system as legion. Tank threat and aoe nerfs also make it less fun than legion.
Weâre pretty casual. Iâm not sure why this is posting on my alt; I donât comment on forums much. Iâm a holy priest for pve content, and we did guild runs for a while until the holidays hit and people got bored with it in favor of real life stuff.
Theyâre not THAT hard. I went into my first mythic+ with like the minimum you needed to get in there. Like 340 or 335 or something? Iâd been out of the game for six years, boosted my 85 to 110 and we went into mythic as soon as I hit 120 and got the gear minimum. Iâm saying that to explain that I wasnât by any stretch an elite player. At all.
And we did fine. When we left mythic for mythic 2 and 4 runs (like a week later), I was really concerned I wouldnât be able to heal it, but we were fine. We made timer sometimes and didnât other times, but we got through the content without a problem. Well, except for siege of borealis. Screw that last boss on a holy priest. LOL.
So. I said that to say this:
Tweak your rotation, fix your keybindsâŚsomething. A blood DK tanking with a healer whoâs paying any kind of attention should be facerolling mythic + dungeons. Itâs either you or your healer, so spend some time looking into it and best of luck to you. Youâll get there.
This is probably the most correct answer. Blizzard wants to make their games heavily esport oriented. Heartstone, Overwatch, HotS, Starcraft. But all the games that made that switch are actually having the opposite effect of the regular audience. Overwatch used to be my jam to go game but after the entire game becoming we only listen to eSport players to make improvements and changes to our game I kinda lost my feel for it.
Same is happening with WoW their entire focus to make Mythic+ an eSport thing it all started to crumble down.
Not to mention HotS that was a failure from the start.
The sad thing is the marketing to attract new players with this probably works, but to the cost of their current fanbase and recurring players.
Blizzard keeps telling me itâs fun because itâs timed and thereâs better rewards the faster you do it. The problem with that is racing games already exist and I donât play them on purpose because itâs not fun.
The issue is that they keep trying to make it competitive so they can monetize it as an esport. To the extent they make modifications to it to make it more marketable as an esport. It caters to a very small minority.
The rest of it is the affixes donât feel tested. At all.
A lot of the current devs came from D3 and brought their rift thinking with them.
Trash in WoD challenge modes were much harder than most bosses except for perhaps the bosses in UBRS and that trash was still hard.
It isnât. At all. The Premade is always full of tons of groups doing M+, any time of any day.
There are far less people doing lower keys than there were in Legion though. Because they took all of the rewards away, and at the same time made them much harder.
People used to do low keys in legion just to farm AP and waste time. You donât do that now because the AP they give is meaningless and you canât just AOE everything down and win like you could in legion.
Itâs a lot less popular because World of Warcraft is a lot less popular. And you bring up a good point - people who play at higher levels of M+ usually play with friends or guildies that they can rely on.
I honestly just miss maw of souls.
You got that right. I basically play with a 4/5 man group. Mind most of them are unhappy with the current state of the game and as a result I havenât done anything this week. I play the game for the social aspect more then anything else.
It is too bad that the community aspect is dying. And if any of you are familiar with Nixiomâs video about what makes an MMORPG⌠well, lets just say weâre at rock bottom.
