Brewmaster is the best tank in the game for raiding but the other two specs are way too difficult to justify their overall performance.

Personally, about 2 years ago I was trying out class trials for healer classes, because I decided I wanted to switch from my dps main to a healer main to try something different. I tried monk, but in my opinion it seemed way too complicated so I didn’t really feel any appeal to it.
So I rolled a priest and here we are.
What seems and what is are 2 very different things. I played monk back in the day and while healing was not bad the other specs were awfully dull. I don’t find them hard to play, just dull.
Like a lot of people have said, DH exists.
Why make any other melee DPS besides DH.

Well, you don’t have to like it, but as I said, those answers are almost always given by multiple people when someone asks why monks aren’t popular. All four of the ones I listed have been repeated by other posters in this very thread.
Personally, I like them okay. Mine’s a Zandalari, which seems to me the only non-panda race that has any real connection to Pandaria or monks. Mistweaver has a lot of strengths, and Brewmaster will always be an awesome raid tank unless they change/break the stagger mechanic. I haven’t really messed around with Windwalker, though.
I really dislike fist weapons just disappearing when attacking or while being sheathed. I would like the class more if you could still used staves and pole arms in Wind Walker spec.

The main reason is because WW is pretty awful to play. They aren’t as “snappy” as a lot of other melee DPS, and their rotation is pretty boring. MW is fun, but fairly one-dimensional, and Brew’s great but a little intimidating to play.
