Out of the hundreds of people that were actively logging in my guild during TBC, no one hated SoM; everything about the revamped mechanics were actually intriguing. However they messed up with launching both around the same time, and all of us had zero interest in rerunning classic yet when we had the shiney “new” tbc in front of us. There were a few things that seemed rocky with SoM mechanics, and I hope they change some of those going forward, but I absolutely did NOT want target dummy vanilla classic bosses that get zerged down in greens in 30 seconds. Any of the players here expecting that can just go to ERA. There’s a reason why those servers are up.
