Why is Hardcore Offensive?

My point was already made… that his point was idiotic and illogical. Kinda like your response.

You’re telling someone to hit 60 to prove something that they aren’t interested in.

When hardcore dies and the next fad comes I will be happy to not see you around anymore

Typical :troll:

You ignore what he said to me which adds reasoning to what I said… congrats, you proved everything I already know about the classic community and if you’re gonna tell people they aren’t doing something correctly and aren’t willing to show you can do it correctly, there is no reason for you to drop an opinion like that on something.

Nah… I pride myself on messing with toxic gamers like yourself.

Good questions. The answers are no one and nothing… But the metasheep disagree. You may lose the respect from them.

Personally I don’t like hardcore, the restrictions imposed on the players isn’t what I’d call a fun experience. It’s anti-social to the people who don’t want to participate and ruins server economy because hardcore players can’t use the auction house.

I believe that the main reason people would hate hardcore is because it simply ruins the game for the people who don’t play hardcore and I also believe that one of the rules is that hardcore players can’t interact with those who aren’t doing hardcore themselves which honestly is a strange rule.

This is just all the more reason as to why hardcore players should get their own server, nearly every problem that someone would have is solved simply by the existence of one.

This may come as a shock, but not everyone wants to follow your favorite streamers addon.

I tried it on Bloodsail without the addon, got to like level 10, and realized it’s not fun to stand in line waiting for your turn to kill a named quest mob. Why would I invest any more time for something I didn’t enjoy?

The realm was full of people with your mindset- “if you aren’t playing the game our way you’re doing it wrong”. It was a negative, toxic experience.

It’s for people with a lot of expendable time. You don’t get anything for it. No one is going to admire you for it. Avoiding pvp because it makes “hardcore” too hard is laughable tho. Cowards imo.

immortal players and mortal players on same realm seems a little imba…

Nah, that’s just you trying to invalidate the mode because you don’t like it.

No one cares about earning your respect. Hardcore is a personal challenge and the basic goal is to reach cap without a death. That’s it. The addon the Ironman, the naked run, and your idea about playing PvP would be additions that some players may want to try and are optional.

There are a massive amount of naming violations. How hard is it to respect a simple rule for the server type. And then there’s this.

You and I may not be harassing others but it is an issue. Enough so that it’s causing a lot of friction.

Don’t forget the end game elitism. They will go to all lengths to gatekeep it.

This has existed the entirety of the game, HC is just the latest ‘threat’ to it.

Who would have thought there’d be such massive pearl clutching over a 20 year old solved game?

Lol, good for them they don’t have to.

Then shut up?

I don’t care how others play… I don’t know where you got this idea from.

So using spare time to play a game? That sounds like a hobby.

Also what kind of smooth brain non-sense do you have to believe that PVP servers would make a better place for hardcore? All of #teambluechew would just camp constantly… even terrible players should be able to beat players 30-40 levels lower than them.

Wear the Nike shoes or the ship doesn’t pick you up.

I enjoy 1 life game modes. Survival is a cool aspect to a RPG.

That being said the people I have met playing on bloodsail are often really antisocial, combative, and prone to twitch chatroom types or streamer orbiters I guess is another word. I’m sure this isnt the majority but its enough to make me say the community around this particular 1 life game mode are not the type I want to associate with.

Part of the problem imho too is the game mode encourages selfish gameplay as it is with no grouping or trading.

HC started up a bit before the TBCC patch on Bloodsail. There were no big names playing at the time and the player were decent. Definitely seeing a change in player quality since the streamer cult arrived. These clowns are reserving items in level 20 dungeons :woman_shrugging:t4:. The one shot at dungeons and no grouping that’s included with the add-on breeds combative overly aggressive behavior.
It’s definitely missing a lot. TBH it can get boring because many classes can’t do the elite group quests. This eliminates a lot of story lines and a big chunk of questing XP.

that’s not what people are doing though. that’s just what YOU think HC players are doing based on your ignorance :expressionless:

thats because you showed up late after all the streamer kiddies came. newsflash: these kids ruin every game mode :expressionless:

Nobody wants to stop the way you HC folks are playing, we just want you all to stop treating everyone else in the game like garbage as you progress on your journey.

The irony here is the HC players cant help themselves from belitting everyone else who isn’t playing the game their way. If i had a dollar for every time i was chastised and accosted by HC players for simply choosing to play regular mode, I’d be a rich Priest.
