Disagreement. In the lore, other Goblins really like Gazlowe as well. He’s certainly a capitalist in it for the money, but he is way smarter. He understands treating people well makes for higher moral, which leads to better products, which leads to better results and repeat customers which increases your portfolio. Gallywix just had the capitalist part dialed up to 11 in an unnatural way, and other goblins hated him. Gazlowe also has fighting experience and been a hero since the second war.
Honestly if those 2 get in a fight, my golds on Gazlowe. I think however Gazlowe would rather work with the Gnomes rather than fight them, even if begrudgingly. Other than a agreed upon duel, I don’t actually see those two really fighting things out.
We see that in Mechagon. He was hoping to one up Overspark, but decided helping the rustbolt rebellion was more important than stealing tech. You can’t steal tech when your dead after all.
Gelbin is in a state of suspended animation that neither Jaina nor Stormwinds priests seem to know how to fix and revive him, he may never recover. According to the horde Battle of Dazar’alor quest in the completion text it says " You did manage to give us some victories, though. Mekkatorque is dead, and Jaina Proudmoore badly injured."
Yea, he worked with that one gnome who’s ego is larger than a Titan and didn’t try to put him in the ground. Certainly can’t say Gazlowe isn’t patient.
This just sounds like agreement, but with extra steps.
Yes, we all know this. Mekkatorque, however, is NOT dead. The Mechagnome recruitment quest involves using Mechagonian tech to restore him to health. The Horde only BELIEVES Mekkatorque is dead, but this is incorrect.
By your own admittance you haven’t seen all of the storyline yourself, so I’m unsure what you’re trying to argue.
My Argument is, mechagnome starter stuff is not out yet, not confirmed yet, up for change. Current in game quest says he’s dead. Until the mechagnome stuff comes out and actually has us revive him, there is a chance he will stay dead.
Nathanos & Halford says he is dead however that is their opinion. Which is clearly false as Gelbin escapes in an escape pod and is rescued by alliance forces. He is still alive, just he is on life support and in a coma. Medically, suspended animation is not the same as death. It can mimic death, however you are not actually dead.
I’m literally telling you, Mekkatorque is not dead. You’re going off of the Horde quests, but the Alliance quests explicitly say that Mekkatorque is alive, but in stasis. Anduin says his life is “hanging on a thread,” and Jaina claims that none of her magics can rouse him - both of which outright tell us that he’s alive, but in critical condition. Mekkatorque cannot “stay dead,” because he was never dead in the first place. Past that, the Mechagnome questline revolves entirely around restoring Mekkatorque, so I think it’s pretty safe to say that’s not gonna be changed.
Why are you arguing for something that you outright admitted you don’t know the whole story for?
Well, most of Gllywix stuff was actually made by a team. He hires people to make the stuff for him. I don’t think much of what he had was his own invention.
No, Horde side says he is dead. On the Alliance side they talk about him being in stasis and they don’t know how to get him out. They clearly say he is badly injured, but alive. Which boils down to the Horde characters not knowing he survived.
You are only as strong as your weakest link, and Gallywix was well… do I really need to say anything here? That, and he cut corners to save as much as possible. It’s been established that ain’t Gazlowe’s bag.
He may have a better handle on quality than Gallywix, but Gazlowe also would not have had the resources. Plus, we get a good feel for Gazlowe engineering style on Mechagon. He does not have the quality standards Mekkatorque has. He still has a lot of the haphazard design tendencies of goblin culture.
In short I think he could probably make a better showing then Gallywix. But, not actually up to Gelbin’s designs. Based on what we have been told and shown about both characters, I still think Mekkatorque would come out on top.
Oh the eternal feud! Neither of us are gonna agree on the winner in an actual matchup, so I won’t go there. I would however want to see a good scrap between the 2, and I think we both know it would be a good fight either way.
As I recall Matthias once said the goblins might someday exceed the gnomes level of engineering but that day(referring to when they broke out Baine) was not it. And with the Mechagnomes added to the mix the goblins’ engineering prowless seem even more dubious.
Technology wise, Goblins are on par with Gnomes. Goblins can also build rockets to space, sentient robots, and nuclear weapons. The only difference is Gnomes over-engineer their stuff, giving it the appearance of being more advanced, but its not actually more advanced. Remember goblins created a super intelligent raptor in Azshara. Who proceeded to go into space and tour the cosmos on a goblin rocket.
