But but but, they didnt have this in LFR!!
I think the average player needs to be better, not that fatescribe needs any tuning. I’ve soloed mythic fatescribe so it’s definitely doable.
No you haven’t. If you do not do the runes correctly you end up taking too much damage that anyone dies. I’ve seen 487 tanks die to that boss because the runes were not done.
TBH, n’zoth isn’t too bad these days. So long as people remember to stack for paranoia and manage their sanity, it’s pretty faceroll. Meanwhile mythic ghun has been basically impossible to kill for years after it was no longer current content.
Stack properly for paranoia.
Too many times I see people all huddle as one big group and 10 seconds later when they are all MC’d ask “Why did we lose our sanity?”.
A well-geared Prot Paladin can heal through it. I’ve had to do it for several PUGs already.
Why do people sign up for Antorus or Eternal Palace and cant even get there dont even know where it is?
How are they supposed to tune a mechanic that doesn’t involve numbers?
If the rune is too far away, you need two people to run it in reverse if it sits idle for too long.
LFR players who just want a mog or achieve, they don’t want to learn.
I get this for more complex or hidden mechanics, but is putting the rune in the rune hole the same? People struggled to do the simple mechanic back when it was current.
The only time you ever need to reverse it is if the person who decides to run a rune is basically afk and like you say, leaves the rune for too long. So long as you’re at least mildly paying attention, possibly even whilst watching netflix on another monitor, it is trivial to get to a rune with plenty of time to spare to solo run it the long way without issue even on mythic.
You say that, but this thread gives me flashbacks to my dozens of H Fatescribe wipes, which were primarily caused by runes not reaching the slots in time.
When it was current? Sure. Ever since DF when you can ignore 95% of everything else? It’s fine.
The other mechanics being ignorable doesn’t make the rune mechanic easier.
Yes it does. By being able to ignore all other sources of damage and mechanics, you can fully focus on running the rune.
I like how this statement implies that the rune mechanic isn’t already drop dead easy. Any time this mechanic is failed it is 1000% a player’s carelessness at fault, not difficulty in execution.
Why is anyone still running this?
Why else? Mogs of course. Some seriously good mogs in SL.
“OMG I heard there was a mount in this place, can you please summon and carry me through?”
Normal has what 3 runes? Heroic 4, or was it 5? Mythic has 6. Now make them all 3, there, it’s tuned.
And the mount.
