Echo chambers and small minds that seldom differ.
And I think you’re also dealing with a lot of people who identify themselves in relation to their perceived success in WoW. They tend to get VERY defensive when anything is perceived as threatening their legitimacy.

Agreed. The echo chamber stuff is eerie in society right now.
a) people canceling each other for who they follow on Twitter… as if digital association implies total ideological alignment;
b) apparently there are people who can NEVER be correct after they have done something problematic (cancelled forever!)
c) and when you say stuff like both sides have a point, or just remain silent on a hot issue, you are suspect and often targeted, like you were just afraid to say you support “the bad guy”;
d) apology acts as fuel to fire and evidence of whatever assumptions could be had of you
I weote more than I planned but the echo chambers are really scary these days. Groups of people dehumanizing other groups of people. Classic divide and conquer. We should be focused on the vertical line, not the horizontal imo.

Humans are tribal by nature. Can be as simple as following a trend or at worst mob mentality. It’s something you have to just be okay with or it will irritate you.
Agreed, and FORCEFUL and fast-tracked inclusivity programs never were a good idea. Too much too fast with these attempts at fixing society. Ended up doing more harm.
