I’m sure there’s absolutely no possible way at least some people in that 5 hour queue either moved to another server or quit altogether because they didn’t want to sit in a 5 hour queue…
So what you’re saying is we need to take away the honor and gear from the people who happened to be in the right place at the right time to take advantage of what they had no way of knowing was an unintentional bug?
Not gear, more so being able to save up honor cap for lv 70. Probably wouldn’t be as much of a problem, but that stacked on top of prepatch being far shorter then it originally was, being delayed a day, and the BGs being riddled with bugs causing people to randomly DC, get booted from the BG, and ques disappearing for no reason… yeah the PvP folks have a lot of reason to be upset.
Cool, so revert the gains from those who benefited from the bug. Or even better, Blizzard should take their time and not rush to release buggy software in the first place.
The fact that someone else benefitted unfairly may be your concern, but a majority of the whiners and crybabies here are just looking for welfare gear at the 11th hour before TBC launch when instead they had since August 2019 to put in the same work as everybody else, if they really care so much about getting to 70 as quickly as possible.
I don’t know why people think quest greens in Outland are better than HWL/GM gear. The GM swords are better than Shadowrend Longblade that drops off the first boss in Hellfire Ramparts and the one you get for honored with Honor Hold. You will use them for awhile.
You’re like a battered house wife. I will never understand people like you who give a free pass to Blizzard being incompetent because, “they’ve always been like this, you should have known better!” That’s not an excuse. And even if it was, I would argue that Blizzard’s ineptitude today is far worse than it was in the past.
If you can’t understand why people are upset that Blizzard just drastically upped the grind for gear that you yourself admit will be replaced quickly, right after a completely botched prepatch launch, that is still causing issues, I don’t really think you’re trying to understand.
It doesn’t matter if the gear isn’t relevant at 70. TBC isn’t even out yet.
The worst part is, the honor rates that got nerfed have been that way on the beta for weeks, if not months. Blizzard had plenty of time to change these rates before prepatch was live, but they didn’t. Instead, they decided to pull the rug out from under a ton of players, who thought that getting HWL gear was going to be a decent grind, but not something that they would need to commit to for all of prepatch.
I don’t fully understand either … but then again I don’t understand paying $40 to skip 58 levels of the game when leveling is part of the core experience. But some folks play the game differently than I do and these folks, who paid to skip 58 levels of the game, are kinda pissed that the PvP Honor system got changed AFTER they bought the boosts … and that part I can identify with I guess.
You aren’t stuck. You can level any character you want to. It will just be moderately more work.

Honor points you earn now does not get wiped when TBC starts. If you’re at honor cap, you’re good to grab the offslot epic pvp gear (bracers, belt, boots, cloak, ring, trinkets) the moment you ding 70. The points you get now is actual real transferable power to the new max level. No one gives a f- about people rocking r14 weps - good for them! They can actually start having fun now.

I dont give blizzard a free pass. I just don’t care. Blizzard doesn’t care what you do. Plenty of people will still pay and play. Why do I have to feel the same way about it as you? I enjoy the game. I do understand and I think people are stupid for doing it. TBC will be out on June 1st.
