HWL gear is surpassed by Naxx/AQ gear for almost every class. Some classes have it even lower on their BIS lists. Even with it, you’re not even close to someone in T3.
Someone in quest greens gains the same amount of exp as someone in raid purples and has the same exact quests

I wanted to at least get the swords, because I only have the AQ40 daggers and swords are better both in leveling and end game for TBC. Yeah, I can eventually get swords questing, but I wanted a set of good swords before then.
Honor points you earn now does not get wiped when TBC starts. If you’re at honor cap, you’re good to grab the offslot epic pvp gear (bracers, belt, boots, cloak, ring, trinkets) the moment you ding 70. The points you get now is actual real transferable power to the new max level. No one gives a f- about people rocking r14 weps - good for them! They can actually start having fun now.
Now that honor gains have been cut 90% across the board, holy crap does it feel insanely bad to pvp now. There was no way hitting honor cap was this bad in the original prepatch. In original WoW, I definitely remembered picking up my r14 gear playing very casually. Yesterday, I pvp’d with a group for 2 hours - went 9-0 in AB (and got kicked from like 5 other games due to the bug). I earned 3,000 honor points for that time. Just 3,000! There’s no way this is right and it just plain felt ****ty for everyone!

Can you not see how people could be upset when Blizzard is choosing to drastically nerf honor rates, just after an awful prepatch launch, where BGs are still broken among a host of other bugs?

No. I can’t see that. None of that gear will still be used at 70. They are complaining about gear they will have for a week maybe 2 max. Blizzards launches are often awful that is nothing new. Y’all really need to pay attention more to what blizzard does. That’s why everyone is so upset. Y’all expect blizzard to do the right thing. They don’t. They haven’t in years.
Oh no, it will take people who are late to the classic party slightly longer to level than people who spent two years working for their gear! Quelle horreur!
P.S. last I checked there are no Kul Tirans in classic, nor are there any Monks. Are you sure you’re posting on the right forums here?

No, most gear has stats, too. None of those stats are “gain bonus exp” (at least until heirlooms in Wrath) or “gain access to super secret special quests” though
People in raid gear do more damage. This means they can quest faster because mobs die faster. This in turn means they level up faster.
They’re gonna be standing around waiting on mob spawns because of over crowding anyways… The gear isn’t going to help them with that.

As they should. Better gear naturally means having a stronger character, of course. But not having better gear does not mean you’re gaining less exp or have access to fewer quests, and so there is no reason people who have not put in the work for said gear deserve to have it
Actually my realm at this time had a 5 hour queue yesterday and today there’s no queue at all. Everyone already quit the pre-patch because they were planning on farming bg’s and blizzard made them impossible to get gear from.

So? People in MMOs who worked hard and put in more effort, are rewarded with more character power and will have a moderate advantage in getting to 70?

The problem is that a handful of people benefited from the honor bug, and those who weren’t playing during that short window now have no way of catching up.

Its not just forum dwellers, pvp participation massively dropped off. You can sit in trade/lfg and see dozens if not hundreds of people complaining about the nerf and how its just not even worth doing
It because of the fun and reward we could have had during pre patch. I had plan to gear my alt and pvp with him during the pre patch before deciding who to main in tbc. I don’t have this choice anymore and will be stuck with my geared toon.
