Just last night on two separate healers (resto druid and prevoker) tank Brann ran the final boss out of the boss room in Skittering Breach. He kept tanking the mofo over by the door, then he would run out and the boss would follow. I was NOT happy. He did this several times.
I’ve always thought this and considering they basically would function similar… it wouldn’t have been that hard. If we weren’t dealing with a small indie company this would have been the horde’s delve companion at the beginning of the expansion.
I think your “delve companion” was supposed to be something more than it actually became. A whole expansion of dealing with a Branndicap wasn’t probably the original plan.
I primarily play Alliance, so I’d want Rexxar with me as well. But if the only way to get him to Dorn would be as a Horde delver, than I’d be happy with that as a start as well.
Thinking back to Legion, the only one that annoyed me to the point of wanting to punch my computer was Addie (I think that was her name. Lil miss “Do you wanna take a selfie?”)
You know who we haven’t seen in a long time? Budd. And the way Brann sometimes act, I suspect it is Budd in disguise.
Just feel the expansion was so light on the Horde influence that a Rexxar companion would have made it feel a little more balanced. I only play horde so Brann feels… like a neutral companion… with a lean towards alliance.
A lot of the new “features” feel like they’re meant to be more grand and a benefit to the players… with more options… but we’re given different because of limitations to what the developers can actually deliver.
Oh I agree about the xpac being very Alliance leaning. I started out Horde when I first started playing WoW, then eventually went Alliance as that was where just about everyone I knew that still played, played. But I still would be bifactional because I wanted to see both sides to the story. But the past few expansions I really haven’t needed to because everyone was getting the same story.
Seeing Rexxar come in, even if he were just for the Horde, I’d be a little happy because it’d be a start. I’d eventually love to see more selections for the delve companion. Some Alli, some Horde, some Neutral.
The last time I was interested at all was… BFA. I’d argue that having two separate story lines made for a more immersive plot… something that has been lost now that we only get a one sided story.
It would have been a proper nod to the Horde if Rexxar were introduced along side Brann… but that ship has sailed. I’d be happy too if he were “added” since it seems like a no brainer easy addition… that perhaps should have logically been there all along.
Kind of kills the enthusiasm a bit when things are over hyped (I assumed we’d get several companions in this expansion). Could have sworn there was Blizzard talk of “more” as well… not just unrealistic expectations on my part… someone correct me if I’m wrong though.
I’d like to see more companions in general because I really do enjoy delves and if they can build on what they’re doing… it’s possible Brann’s AI may not suck as much next expansion and more companions could be an actual “feature”.
“TIME TO GO ALL OUT!”
pops all his big dps cds on the last little kobold running away on 2% health
my problem is when he is in tank spec, he needs to stand his butt still and get hit and not be running around like he’s dps. stay still unless there is an aoe. seriously its like he’s a dps who accidentally clicked tank talents with the way he acts… @____@
This is what they want.
I agree with your post.
“TIME TO GO ALL OUT”
Isn’t even in range of anything as the mobs have followed me through a door way.
at this point… just give us a pet bar where we can control which kind of crazy mode they are acting on. along with manual and auto click options of key abilities like hunter pets.
Why is brann running around like a psychopath
because he FOUND A BIT O GOOOOOOLLLLLLLD
He’s like an orange cat which lost its single brain cell. That single brain cell for Brann was his hat.
Brann is possessed by the void and suffered many concussions.
It’s so hilarious when he does that right after I pull.
I’ve never had these strange problems with him. He always stays close unless he’s running off to herb mind or fish. I wonder what’s causing this for others
I found it entertaining the other night when I apparently stood equal distance, but 1 step too far, from 2 nodes when I had to run the dog out. Come back and he was running to one, back to me, to the other, back to me. Poor little AI dude just didn’t know what to do.
not sure how many delvs you’ve run, but the more you do the entertainment value Brann brings.
I’m like 3 short of having the 500 delves run cheevie, I’ll get them later, and I can tell you some funny stories for sure.
the new Side Street Sluice(SSS) used to be a good place for lots of fun things. Some of it got fixed.
like pulling everything on the platform under, above and beside you.
nothing says “difficulty” increase like looting a body standing up and there be 15 mobs running at you while an Aerial reinforcement drone starts bombing you from the other platform. You can’t target it, but it can target you so you get to kill everything and try to LoS it, doesn’t work mostly just shoots thru the walls, and try to get over to where it is so you can kill it.
Or skittering breach when he gets to the end of the entryway ramp and decides to pull everything up to the checkpoint and run back to you with it.
lol, good times with Mr. Brann on tank duty. Going to have many fun times to talk about for ages.
The guy lost his hat, cut him some slack!
Seriously though, if you’re talking about the Undersea Abomination, this has been a long-term problem. Tank Brann doesn’t want to hurt it, and the Undersea Abomination just goes mushroom crazy, negating the Pacifist Rig, making it very slow to kill.
Because Brann is a psychopath.
