So what you’re saying is that in vanilla, when you got all spells early, that was completely wrong and characters should have been manipulated into having to use only a spell or two?
Brieysse:
This may apply to an experienced group, but that is a rare thing right now. You should also add that this is an opinion and is specific to experience. A run is fun when you do not die multiple times due to repeated novice mistakes from each class. An example is 4 players targetting 4 different adds in turn killing very slowly and pulling agro in turn causing the healer to need to expend the entire pool on one pull. Then the tank grabs the next group without looking to see if the mana pool is recouped. Dps goes into the same pattern of standing in the fire because most have never ran a raid before and been subjected to raid level scrutiny and suddenly you have a wipe and because none of the 4 realize that it was their inability to play their class correctly, they blame heals and in turn have a false sense of fault and never really learn to play the class in the correct way. This one of the reasons why LFR has failed, because it is very hard to find 10 competent players. Those that are bad dont like being criticized and those that aren’t dont like wasting time.
So how is giving healers an incomplete toolkit going to solve the problem of people trying to figure out how to play by themselves because they are given no guidance?
