Why is Alliance getting 30% xp boost?

It’s because they were collectively too afraid to enable war-mode that this is their incentive to hop in.

At the moment its useful only in depopulated shards, wherein the still-higher number of Horde won’t equate automatically to a corpse run marathon, which still ends up around 90% decrease to experience generation over time (now 87%). Once its worth more than that minor mitigation to a problem so great it still keeps you out of Warmode, the bonus is no longer available. It’s constantly rechecked based on available population balance/distribution across shards.

I don’t believe its out of fear. Time is valuable and people would rather spend that time playing the game instead of corpse running constantly.

From what I’ve been hearing, Horde is heavily dominating war mode ever since its inception. They out number the Alliance greatly making it a giant one sided slaughterfest so they’re giving Alliance players a XP incentive to get them in

It is fair snookums. You get the pop advantage and alliance gets the compensation rewards.

I don’t know what else i’d call an entire faction voluntarily opting out of PvP. But sure, it’s because they “didn’t want to waste any time”

Though, you were all too eager to hop in at the beginning of the expansion so you could bum-rush to 120 and flood Vol’dun, blocking main quest objectives.

After that, more and more horde popped in to contest you and suddenly it wasn’t fun anymore.

Like the first week of Warfronts? Yeah, that was fair.

For example today I was leveling up my void elf for the heritage armor. I made the toon and flew out to duskwood, did some killing and was like “Oh hey, I forgot to turn on warmode”. I flew back to Stormwind to turn it on then back to Duskwood and the moment I landed I was dead. I rez’d got out of the town, dead again near the quest area where you have to kill spiders. Rez continue killing spiders then dead again. Rez again get that quest done get back to town and wait for NPC’s to spawn and I’m dead again. That pretty much painted the picture of that characters future for the next 100 levels so I just flew back to Stormwind and turned it off like I’m sure a lot of the other Alliance have done as well. Not because I was “scared” but because I just didn’t have time for that crap.

Ganking sucks, but you can avoid it by avoiding mainstream areas.

My void elf is in Howling Fjord right now and i have yet to see someone from the opposite faction.

Well I’m under level 30 so I’m not quite equipped for Northrend stuff

I’m just saying, you got options. Duskwood is extremely popular and well treaded.

There are other zones within the same leveling bracket. And you can go back to earlier zones thanks to level scaling.

Avoid the hustle and bustle and you’ll avoid the ganking.

Ordinarily i’d suggest leaving warmode, but at 30% bonus experience, it’s too good to pass up.

I was hoping BFA would bring back the feeling you get when leveling and running into someone of the opposing faction who was also there leveling. That’s the world pvp I loved.

Edit: Now it’s just bored 120s picking on the little guys

Sounds like good advice for the horde. Just avoid popular wq and assault areas and use lesser traveled flight paths and you’ll avoid the Alliance death squads. :^)
