Why I'm quitting BGs as an Alliance player

Um i just said your stats and i joined my warr is darthkitanax btw i saw you typing in av we were 300 to 678 when i joined halfway. Infact i “might” have a screenshot hang on not sure if it saved .

You were saying how you guys only had 1 alliance heals then when i joined you got 2 more . I even spoke up and typed no when you guys asked to just “give up” .

Lit the whole rest if the time i was there you were blaming it on horde mercs and alliance not having heals???

Then make your own groups or start looking for yolos .

You know, I have an alliance btag thread on here which has a community attached. Could always join it and queue some matches with people. Contrary to popular forum QQ, playing with others is fun and you get premade vs premade matches to boot.

I don’t know any mythic raiders that run random BG’s, and I know a lot of mythic raiders. Used to be one myself, and will be again, so I know a lot of people in that game niche.

If I see them doing PVP at all (and it’s a small fraction of them that do), it’s Arena.

So, you’re going to quit running random battlegrounds when you start raiding again?

I’m not going to quit, but then I am a pretty unique person. I’ll see those friends in Rated BG’s. I like grinding honor and they don’t care.

I’m reminded of something someone said recently:

No, I did premades with my guild in Legion but they quit and I’m not convinced it makes any difference in the long run. To just give up on a type of BG that rewards ample conquest because of the state of the game doesn’t sit well with me. There’s a lot wrong with the game and seeing how PvP isn’t forgiving to the Alliance, I’ve quit.

Not forgiving to the bad Alliance.

You’re confused.

I was in one where we had 3 healers and were badly failing on a turtle strategy when I came in, and I told them to give up on trying to win on reinforcements and instead generate an offensive. And partly due to my help, we did generate an offensive, burned Iceblood Tower and both Frostwolf towers, and were starting on Drek when the Horde won. Is that the one you’re thinking of?

Giving up on a losing strategy and instead switching to a strategy with a chance of winning is different from giving up on the battle entirely.

I play 8pm-11pm EST most nights. I have a better than 50-50 win rate in BfA. Purely Alliance so far. Some good days, some bad days but it damn sure ain’t like it was in WoD when Horde was getting crushed. Yeah but do quit playing pvp I guess :unamused:

Ah, the truth comes out.

Random drops of gear is another one of the issues that make BGs terrible.

Being able to buy gear with honor was a great setup, but it didn’t fit the leveling treadmill that they tried to force in with the CoD prestige honor system.

That change was a failure, and it’s time to bring back trying to buy honor gear.

I have no problem with conquest gear being better than honor gear, but it should be a narrow gap. Enough that skill would determine the matchup, and not gear. Give it a distinct look, but not overpowered stats.

Ya there is other ways I could get gear, but guess what I am not interested in those ways. I liked earning gear via running the 40 man BGs.

If I can’t play how I enjoyed playing, I will go play other games. I skipped legion because of it, and it looks like its going to be the same story for this expo. I suspect I am not alone in that.

Im not confused i was there since you seem to doubt me on that. I remember very well what you were saying reguardless of you accusing me of lying and not being there.

The whole time you and others saying " we had 1 healer they have more just stop trying guys " and you were agreeing back n forth with people who where blaming it on mercs etc.

Then dont keep playing no one is forcing you .

Don’t plan to. Grinding out losses for no benefit hoping to get a win that will land me a single piece of gear in two weeks is not fun.

But if someone like me has lost interest in the BG system, that’s a sign of a problem.

Not really . Theres plenty of us that like it . Its just prefrence .

And what truth is that, pray tell? That one guy on a 20-man team will be queueing for random BG’s? If anything that math there disproves your tinfoil hat stuff and supports what I said.

“Most people are only interested in hearing things they want to believe, not in learning the truth”

I can say with absolute certainty that you have no interest in learning what’s really going on out there.

yeah at least bad Horde players can get carried since they get better teammates on average who are better geared with more healers which is the reason I’m quitting. I’ll just take my 53% win rate and not burden the Alliance as a bad player any longer. :slightly_smiling_face:

And seem to be plenty who don’t.

Since it was the only part of the end game I enjoyed, it’s a deal breaking issue for me.

Trust me, bad horde players lose too.
