I am level 38 in classic, i have about 15-20 totems to play with… i’m level 120 in retail, i have 4.
Weve lost so much of our utility, its absurd.
Just one persons opinion.
they gutted enhancement since legion and bfa is what we are left with.the current state of enhancement is just the worst i have seen in any expansion.
It isnt just enhance, but your right.
Between shoving stuff into specific specs or pvp only talents for whatever reason that was done were left with a miniature toolkit in comparison and boring rotations and usage.
Even things as simple as removing imbues and doing what they did with shields was just… idk, i cant conceive the logic behind it.
All three specs in retail currently have access to 10+ totems.
You miss the point sir, access to, is not the same as available at will.
Plus these is no way to have them all since many are on the same tiers in the talents and i must choose between them assuming either one is the best option.
Regardless many no longer exist at all.
Let’s look at Enh. It’s got…
Earthbind Totem
Tremor Totem
Capacitor Totem
Wind Rush Totem (talent)
Totem Mastery (talent)
Skyfury Totem (PvP talent)
Counterstrike Totem (PvP talent)
Grounding Totem (PvP Talent)
That’s three at a baseline level. Five at most in instanced PvE content (AKA the majority of the game), and eight if you talent into every possible totem in the open world and PvP (which you really shouldn’t do).
I don’t see how that’s 10+, unless you count Totem Mastery as four, which is dumb.
Ele has one more talentable totem than Enh (Liquid Magma), but that’s still not 10 either.
Access to, being the key phrase. And yes, I am counting TMs as individuals. If not, it’s still upwards of 8 in open world/pvp.
There is no need to bring any totems back now besides possibly earthgrab to the dps specs, and otherwise it’s fine to enjoy them in classic.
Well, youre entitled to youre view, but i for one disagree vehemently.
Disagree that they should return to retail? Or something else
Disagree no need to bring any back and/or re-allocate them to make them available without niche talents no one takes or locked behind PvP.
For me hat was lazy development, all totems should be baseline for all shaman specs IMO. Just as i feel all stings and traps should be for Hunters.
I get wanting the specs to feel unique, but totems are iconic. Buff them for certain specs, not lock them to that spec for example.
The current pvp ones should probably stay that as they would add unstable advantages to the class, besides arguably grounding and earthgrab. Those are the only two I think would be decent and reasonable to have back
I think this is every class though. All of them are boring, Enhancement just also lacks PVP defenses and, from what I’m told, damage.
What I think OP is saying here is that in Classic, utility wasn’t shunned. That’s great, and I’m happy you found that there. Sadly the game no longer welcomes utility as it once did.
enhancement shaman were always about their off healing to survive in pvp.
they took away healing wolves at the start of legion and gutted our off healing in bfa thats why enhance cant survive.
enhancement shamans way of surviving was its off healing which they gutted.
I won’t argue about enhance since I’m no expert, but offhealing seems like a cop-out.
thats what it always was about did you play enhance at all?
healing wolves and off healing was how enhance survived in pvp if you played it you would know that.
Wait, why is your Shaman in a nutshell?
You keep your Shaman in strange places. o.0
Reread my post before you ask me something like that. As I said, I don’t play Enhance.
The point is, it doesn’t line up with what Enhance should be. As in lore. Wild berserkers that deal with ancient spirits shouldn’t heal themselves.
all im saying is since tbc when healing wolves was introduced thats what they were ALWAYS about to survive period.
Can we Skype? I have so many questions.
Do people still Skype?
