Exactly right.
Fairbanks is one of the only priests mentioned in lore who used the Light, and he describes it as a intense searing pain

I agree, I was just pointing it out.
I disagree with things like this, but again, lines have already been crossed. I’m just hoping they reconsider before they cross any more lines like this.
No, thanks. I want to be a Belf Druid/Shaman.
I understand where you are coming from. However with the races being around each other barriers can be broken unless there is a genetic limitation. Like envoker for an example. It has also been made clear you can have a source of power while using the complete opposite magic. So right there goes more barriers. LF dk and shadow priest, VE priest, demons and undead using the light, and whatever comes in the future.
Yeah. I assume anyone who reads the post will know that they can’t use Shadow priests as an argument against Light cultures/Lightforged or Holy Void Elf priests as an argument either.
But here I will clarify for anyone reading down the line:
Canonically, pretty much any priest that is not Human, Dwarf, Blood Elf, Lightforged, Draenei, Probably some Worgen, are much more likely to be shadow priests.
Lore is dead. WoW story ended in legion. Everything that has happened since is just a fever dream.
I’m unaware of thus information where you could be made of one power, and then use the conflicting power. Is there a story somewhere that clarifies this?
I’ll see your thesis, and raise you Smurf Elves and fox people.
I dunno…feels more like an instanced pve game atm. Made for raidloggers and keyloggers.
Blizzard already topped it with Tauren rogues…i mean…game over man.
I agree with all your points made. Which class skins would be a nice addition with already established lore. I also agree we shouldn’t just add say forsaken paladins or forsaken druids without context. Like waking up and logging in and bam its a option out of no where. The drust magics would make it great for forsaken druids so they can expand on that. Idk about warlocks because power / demon bargaining is the only way but paladins, druids, and shamans have different ways of gaining them.
Humans, draenei, dwarves, blood eves (new not old) all gain their power of worshipping the holy light and naruu.
Tauren get it from worshipping the sun (still dont really know how that works but ok)
Zandalari get it from worshipping a loa (tbh zandalari pretty much get anything from a loa). Idk if kul’tirans and dark irons can be paladins but if kul’tirans can it be the same as humans but idk how dark irons do it atm.
Druids: Night elves and tauren get it from respecting nature. Trolls and Zandalari get it from worshipping loa. Worgen from their curse infliction which is druidic in nature as well as from night elves training them. Kul’tirans from the evil drust magics.
Shamans: Pretty much respecting the elements… unless you’re a goblin and you can just have contracts. So even with these hard bound classes it is possible to make lore for them to where it is possible to have every class and combo already and if you add class skins it makes it a lot easier.
Lore hasnt seemed to matter in years. :\
If Blizzard looked at how other games have player housing, and looked at all the possible options further, then player housing could’ve been a thing long ago.
Now we need a Cyborg Murloc megathread.
Perfect new race to introduce with the Tinker class.
Oh, that will make everyone roll over from every race for that.
I want my Orc Paladin.
I think it would be fun to start as some sort of vanilla “no class” character, and then your tutorial experience would be you picking a class to pursue, and doing a quest line that makes you into that class.
Long term - you will have a single “avatar”. You’ll just swap race/class/spec at will. Probably even from boss to boss in raid. Need Stoneform? Just swap your raid to dwarves, and then go Nelf to run through all the trash to the next boss and Shadowmeld. lol
Blizzard has been watering down the RPG real world stuff for awhile. The logical extension is to just make it all a drop down selection and be done with it. Be a shame, but I wouldn’t be surprised.
They’d probably roll that into the game when they go to account wide achievements and rep. Removing any remaining character distinctions. Be interesting at that point because characters would become meaningless.
Only thing that would stop them would be race change sales. Guess it depends on what they think will make them the most money. That will be the ultimate deciding factor for whatever changes they make.
Well, the push for the ability to have a variety of things has long existed may be good in the end. However, I do see it backfiring a bit on the Horde side. Chances are the BE population will explode, there will be some players that cling to their Vulpera characters, and naturally some players unaware of things and continue as they are.
Mechagnomes Druids! They can have machine parts
