This is the first time I’ve ever heard anybody say that cata killed horde on a PvP server.
So stop him lol
Flare, hunters mark, steel trap, freezing trap, intimidation, turtle, feign camo to heal, binding shot
A 210 ilvl rogue should die to your pet damage while you’re afk in a turtle tbh
Don’t trinket if he’s not using cds either
As bm or surv you should 100% win vs a rogue.
At one point before I transferred off there were 17 leather items on the auction house. It was sad
i usually keep war mode on but lately i had to turn it off. why? because less people in war mode doing say world bosses that i need to do like the doomwalker. also last time i had war mode on and was playing i just hit 60 and some A holes decided it would be fun to camp us in venari’s cave. they proceeded to do this for hours on end about 5-6 of um. nobody wanted to form a group on our side to kill um and half of us literally just dinged 60 or were super undergeared to even do much in a small group.
later on i came back still see them so i decided to toy with them as that was literally all i could do. one of um got so pissed he whispered toxic stuff to me and then went on his alt and proceeded to camp just me out of like 10 of us.
i mean i don’t mind wpvp i participate in it even though i know i will die. biggest issue is with the campers like bruh after you kill me say 3-4 times thats enough already clearly im not geared especially when i don’t even last say 10seconds with all my cd’s popped.
the whole pvp tuning is just whack though. i originally rolled on a pvp server thus why i keep war mode on usually but sometimes it’s just too much. i’ve been camped for hours on end before it sucks.
Literally, tbh.
I played on Ner’zhul. I loved world PVP. However, I had a rule. Never gank a lowbie. I would always get /thankyou from the horde. Then I realized that same person will eventually grow up to create problems for me. That happened. It was hilarious and fun. My warrior Leoniidas with two i’s was ganked by a rogue named Leonidas the original name while I was afk. His name fueled a fire in me. I like PVP servers. Makes you more cautious. I don’t like WM because you never know what lurks around the corner. The option to disable is not fair for PVP’ers.
I moved to Hyjal where I FIRST began until I hit 60 on my Warlock. Then off to Ner’zhul I went to begin my journey. Now I’m back to Hyjal because I didn’t want to PVP anymore.
Like Josh Strife Hayes says. PVP is a broken system. It’s not based on skills. It’s about what you got and how high your level is. A level 20 can be better than a level 60. Because of level range. The 60 always wins.
Only turned warmode on once since it was implemented. Just to experiment with it, because it was just something new to try out lol. Not turned it ever since. If I want to pvp, I’ll just join a random bg.
A feature like WM is great. Arena’s and BG’s are one of the best ideas blizzard had. A good place to release your anger. lol
Maybe I was lucky, but I leveled a Kul Tiran shaman through war mode and only encountered exactly one tauren DK who flew past me. That’s it.
I know it doesn’t matter now, but there was a way to cheese that fishing daily . As someone who never pvped, I used this every time that quest was up.
I agree with his points. Templates was the closest they got to a fair pvp system. And they removed it for the people that liked to grind rated modes. It killed my vibe to want to pvp casually, I now prefer games where less time is needed to enjoy the combat. I enjoyed pvp more when I could at least bear the miserable parts enough to get gear to eventually enjoy it when I was on par with others. Now it’s forcing us to go through rated modes which I was uninterested in and it just pushed me to other games. My server used to be a pvp server and it used to be fun, but it seems for expansions now that Raiders had gotten the best world pvp gear, and casual pvp was neglected. I also find myself only wanting to engange in pvp with more fair fights and that’s why I almost never use warmode. They know it’s never fair and many people do not use it. The alliance has a disadvantage and they turn it off. High geared players tend to be the ones in those modes.
The good thing about wow pvp though is it pushed me to try other pvp games because it was so horrible that I still enjoy the other ones because they are much less masochistic! WoW is such a horrible experience that others that people constantly complain about seem so much better and I don’t mind.
New World how terrible of a game it is. The PVP is based on skill. I like that concept. Unfortunately, different style of game vs WoW. I enjoy wow for the PVE aspect of it even though world pvp was my thing.
Well like the guy said try other types of pvp games. Because the closest thing we had to fair was templates. Apparantely not that many people liked it. I did. I was just busy chasing FOMO and trying to convince not to remove them all that expansion. I probably would have pvped more if I knew the Fomo appearances weren’t going to be locked besides the Magetower skins. People hated that they couldn’t pick there secondary stats back then, and blizz just gave up on the whole system instead of them fixing that issue.
If you like a blizzard game that is more fair for pvp I would suggest Overwatch. It’s a gungame so your skill is as good as you can aim. No power grinds, just knownig the heroes and tactics. No grinding for power, you are probably going to die alot at first but if you focus on improving your performance you will get better over time.
I agree with the video because I realized I have played many different types of pvp games, I used to enjoy wow when I could catch up with the gear and it was fair, and that isn’t the case anymore. The video highlighted my thoughts as well and stuff I thought about. I guess it’s refreshing people like the skill stuff in pvp games. Wow is way to grindy for a casual pvp game. You really have to dedicate a bunch of your time to just be on par with others. Many people wouldn’t do that and I think that’s a major reason pvp has declined.
I dont ever use war mode but years of battlegrounds have given me a reason not to and that is stuns.
There’s a reason blizz only really supports pvp in one specific instance: arenas and with very specific group comps.
Warmode is just a freebie for the Horde… it’s true, the bonuses are higher for Alliance, but the net result is a minus.
Obviously, on select servers, thats flipped, but there are far less Alliance dominated servers than Horde dominated.
The real problems are twofold… first, servers are dominated, by one side or the other… 2nd prob, IF a server happened to be balanced, ie a fair fight, then expect some migration, because people are not gonna fight fair.
Some of this is reasonable… I myself back in my pvp days, usually faced an uphill struggle to win often enough to slowly gear up… winners for 3 medals, losers got 1… but at least I got 1, time wasn’t completely wasted, combined with some wins, I could get some gear.
But, and forgive my lack of knowledge, but there came the expansion where losers got nothing… ok, but one side winning more often, geared better, won even more often, to the point the other side hardly won.
And that made faction migration almost required…
warmode, is just an extension of one side is hopeless, winning is everything…
Warmode is a joke. I hardly ever see Horde thanks to them keeping rp realms on their own shards.
I like Warmode, I enjoy a good scrap. plus I get a better understanding of the class I am trying to play.
never been big into world pvp, don’t think i ever turned warmode on once. Never heard of Josh Hayes.
Lol this is interesting
