If you didn’t care anymore you wouldn’t have made this thread.
Just find a group of friends and make your own guild, what I did.
If keys are your jam you don’t have to try and grovel at the feet of a GM that doesn’t want anything less than meta specs over good/fun players. Just make friends and create your own experience.
My entire guild is made up of 5-6 other peoples mains and alts. All we do is run keys.
I dont like it when people base my worth and skill on a score made by some other player’s website/addon. It isnt right. People use the raider io incorrectly if they are using ot for judging people and abusing the decline invite feature.
Im not a fan of raider io due to how others use it incorrectly or as an excuse to be exclusive and rude.
Getting declined consistently is not fun at all neither is the rage quitters fear of their score dropping or not going up. Its a shame that its all about raider io when it comes to mythic+ and rage quitting along with getting consistently declined due to it. It has taken control of mythic dungeons and some of our lives on wow.
Raider io is butter flavored. It looks good and appealing until you keep eating it and turns out its not good and addicting.
I dont like wasting my time to get into groups either. Id rather get invited, have fun, and beat time the dungeon.
Players are going to judge your character in other ways anyhow, that’s just the nature of the game and it’s not going to change.
That is the interesting part of the story. He actually has a pretty good score, 1k for DPS. He is in the top 100 for DPS warriors on his server and in the top 200 for his region. He has a good record with 10 - 12.
Unless he is applying for something insanely high or just something he has no score for, I don’t understand why he has such a problem. I mean it could just be because he is just another DPS in the sea of DPS applying but I doubt it is because he has a low score.
I applied to a 10 boralus dungeon, got instantly declined for score. Then a rude comment followed the decline.
The score is based off of blizzards own website. All the information raider io gets comes from the mythic dungeon leaderboards.
Since anyone can access it, it’s perfectly alright.
People would do that even if IO wasn’t a thing. That’s just human nature for most.
Find people who like to run with you and run with them. Sometime the simplest method is the right one.
Also hype for posting in another autoattakk like thread.
You clearly underestimated the amount of DPS signed up for the Mythic+
People gonna be picky.
Haha, i decline people because they don’t read the description, i’ve started to invite people only if they whisper me because at the end of the description i’ve wrote something like Accepted only if you whisper me And since then, all the pug started to be really good.
Your the one with the issue. I’m saying here someone is who abides by the rules and has played the “system” and he says it’s bad. It’s an insider calling it terrible. Clearly there is a difference.
You know its not always you its your class. People want to do mythic keys with rogues. If you do not fit into the bubble defined by the people making the group you wont always be accepted. So stop taking it so personally as its not just the io number but class composition has a big role here also.
Do your own keys. You might think that tanks will not join some random dps key - but they will. For some reason.
Man… I pug a lot and I get declined a lot. It’s pretty standard. But I have never had anyone make a rude comment to me after a decline. Or any comment at all.
Is Alliance just ruder? Is this the Alliance pug standard, to decline and make a rude comment with the decline? I don’t understand.
People are people
Idk what factions have to do with rude people
I highly doubt anything was ever said.
Been wondering for a long time if this is just an alt of Autoattakk. They make thread after thread talking in circles and complaining about not being able to do anything or never getting invited to stuff.
It seems like it’s him but I can’t be 100% forsure. I just know this is his exact style. He has made lots of mythic+ posts in the past about never getting invited or unable to fill a +2 key after hours in the finder.
Usually just really, really bad trolling.
It was probably a Demon Hunter, that would explain everything.
(I may or may not be wondering if this is bait at this point, HOWEVER…)
Going off this gnome’s information, not everyone should be declining you for simple 10s. Unless you’re trying to go for things like 16, 18, or even 20s then yes I’d understand them declining you.
IO isn’t just some random number on some random website. It calculates everything done in that specific dungeon and tallies it into a point system for people to get an understanding of where you are at as a player in skill for M+.
It accounts for time made, affixes for that dungeon, the dungeon, and probably even more than that. But, those are just the ones I’ve noticed. If you as a person can pull off all of those things in time there’s no way everyone should be declining you for 10s. Especially when they see what your best key is which is given on the addon. I’m pretty sure it even tells the times.
I’m going to be honest, the few times I’ve used that addon in the pug world when my guild doesn’t have a full group, we don’t care about some 2k rated. Obviously if a 2k rated IO person actually requested to join then yeah I’m clearly going to take that person because it does show they know what they’re doing. But, if someone has simple statistics of their keys then clearly I’ll take them.
Normally I only run keys with a guild group. If we do end up having to pug people for our keys, I choose based on the name.
A cringe name that references an old meme? Instant decline.
Dora? Instant invite if you have the explorer title.
Terribull? Udderdefeat? Some other cow pun? Now we’re getting somewhere!
Kinda how I do my pug invites after the banned lists of servers I won’t take based on the rage quitting and overall insufferable personalities for the 5-6 servers I blacklist.
But I also instant decline for
People who whisper to tell me how good they are.
People with boi in their name.
People with fam in their name.
People with qt in their name.
With this set list of rules I’ve had very little pug issues when we’re forced to pug.
Puns in names are always a welcome sight.
If you’re good enough to clear a +10 without massively overgearing it, you’re probably good enough to clear a +15. As long the tank/healer know the correct pulls. A lot of the time my mythic+ dungeon goes poorly is the tank simply doesnt’ know how to move the group quickly through the dungeon.
