Why healing should be harder for m+

This makes a lot of sense, honestly. Part of the reason I don’t like m+ as much is that it’s dance based and most deaths aren’t because of a lack of healing.

Fair point BUT isn’t that why healers were supposed to do DPS as much as they could to help with that issue? That a “good healer” does DPS just as much as keeping everyone alive? Though yeah in all the keys I don’t time, it’s cause DPS be like zzzzzzzzzzzz

The proposed tank changes pre tww unironically might have been interesting if they actually went harder.

More natural beefiness and less self sustain instead of just some beef and poorly targeted self sustain nerfs.

I want to see everyone be better at what they do, not create a manufactured disempowered state of game play so you can feel better about yourself. Manufactured weakness is not anything people would love or would want to contribute to. It’s a path to failure and doesn’t help anyone ascend to what they can be.

Screw throughput checks overall just make every fight more mechanically intense as you go up in key level to the extent that it’s what bricks keys the most at the top end.

Yes please. Would love to heal more if healers had an actual impact on the run during all their downtime. 5-700k dps matters little when a DPS overall is at 5M.

I do think they should be able to do close to tank DPS at the very least. Behind tanks by a margin of 10-25%.

For healing to be fun, people need to be able to die from lack of healing.

I’ve been arguing for deleting tanks anyway.

If healers had proper control over keeping people alive (not the dumb DPS popping defensives) I’d be happy with having healing checks more often.

Not happy when keeping them alive also falls onto them, seeing as they rarely want to live based on their overall defensive usage each dungeon. Their contribution can be killing the boss fast enough that we don’t oom.

I’m pretty happy with the level of responsibility DPS has. It’s about time some was alleviated from the healers.

It’s been real interesting seeing the evolution of healer complaints go from “DPS needs more responsibility” to “I want to feel more important, make it harder for me”

Mana is like, not a concern.

Pull more. Get 6 sharpshooters in a pull so their attacks are doubling on at least someone.

Pull both knights to get 2 disruptive shouts so youve gotta top people up before the second one goes off.

Its not that healers dont have control, its healers dont have the power to do what they want. Which is why pulls are designed in the order they are.

Theres always higher difficulties too where even with defensives rolling, you need automatic top ups
