Convenience. People will always spend money on convenience.
I’ll buy it for the same reason I invested in the Garrison AH; freedom to do my business without having to worry about random noisy toys, emote spam, whispers, or other distractions. Now I just can pop up shop wherever I want.
The cost this time is also way more approachable than what the previous option was. 5m gold was like the cost of the next xpac plus a full round of sub time for it. This one is like a digital collectors cost.
It’s nifty.
In DF sometimes I’d realize right in front of a raid boss, I’d be short on consumables so that helps out a ton (especially when you can mount inside certain raids)
Also, I love long necks, ever since the Land Before Time and Jurassic Park. If they came out with brutosaur mounts that DIDNT have extra bells and whistles, just a plain ol brutosaur, I’d get em in a heartbeat.
Unfortunately there aren’t enough brutosaur mounts, and there are NO devilsaur mounts, which in my opinion is the real crime.

It’s not just for AH goblins. It’s pretty convenient to have AH/Mail access at all times

Im not an AH main, but I like the model, and the non-CD mailbox is handy to me as I sometimes skip over looting bosses when doing my various mount runs so it’s quite nice having an on-demand mailbox whenever I want.
Thats the biggest thing.
You wouldn’t think you’d use the ah that much.
I use it SOOOOOO much now. Why? Because I can use it anywhere and anytime lol.
I sell things I would have normally vendored too.
I’d say it was a solid investment.

If you have the gold to get it, it’s a nice convenience, but I definitely wouldnt have gotten it if I had to pay the $90 for it.
As for reasons I like having access to an AH if I forget to buy consumables again, or to just post things while out and about gathering, also a no-CD mailbox is very nice.
I didn’t buy it to eventually make a profit on the instant AH access somehow. I bought it because it’s a convenience. Same as the transmog mount back in MoP. It’s convenient.
It’s also a giant dinosaur mount, just saying.
Not even gonna hold you- if it were a Devilsaur, I would’ve bought it without question.

I think it’s just a “look what I got” mount.
Also, if your willing to invest 90$ on a ah mount most of your game time is probably spent at the ah house.

The one thing i always wanted to do was to watch people use it then move slighty and watch them all walk a little to reuse it again. You saw it a lot in SL and DF
Why should anyone buy a Porche 911 Carerra for over $120,000 which can go 182 mph which is more than 100 mph over any speed limit in the US yet people buy them.
