You dont have to wait in the portal room, you can be in the zone and wait out the timer. Theres a small mob at the boss site that counts down and being there already gives you the slime kill for 25 memories.
my server is so laged you cant even do the event or anything right now
Onyxia has so much lag. I wonder if splitting people up would help. You can’t even attack.
I have yet to kill any of these bosses, they never have spawned for me. So am I doing it wrong? I go to the spot a few minutes before the timer runs out and I don’t see anything at all. And then the timer just resets. I’m in the right place because I’m right where the quest tells me I have to go. So do they spawn right where the timer is? Because if so, I have yet to see one after a timer like three times now. I think I will just give up on the event.
The simpliest way for me to explain this (becuase for me this was not intuitive at all) is from the portal room, the portal with the text above it is the LAST event. You want to go to the next portal over. However, I did just spend 1.5 hours waiting for Ony, which took forever to kill because of the lag and I got zilch - not even 1 memory.
You literally have less than 6-7 minutes to get to the right zone and kill the boss (maybe another minute or two since they buffed the health of the boss).
So I have been doing it wrong! I don’t go in the portal where they have the timer. Apparently you are supposed to go in the portal next to it which shows nothing.
Countdown was in Northrend, stood on the boss spot as the timer ran out, nothing. Waited. Nothing. So, I don’t know and I don’t care anymore.
Well just wait another 90 minutes and try again, its not that long…
