☎ Why dont you use ingame voice chat in PUGs?

Cant stand random chat… if its an organized grp that has to have it Ill use discord not the ingame voice and even then I dont speak unless its absolutely necessary

Because I’m already in a third-party VOIP talking to people I actually know. If I want to talk to you I’ll use the ol’ fashioned way and type it.

I developed my ability to type quickly playing these games, and I’ll be damned if I don’t use it.

What do you mean exactly?

Because some of us still remember how bad the old in game voice chat was and know that discord is a better system

Trying to remember what I sang. I think it was Superman by Goldfinger ( aka that one song in tony hawk pro skater that everyone loves as they should )

We tried it one night when Discord was acting up for our guilds raid. Some people couldn’t get it to pick their mic up, some couldn’t hear anyone, some were so quiet they may as well been whispering at you from 100 yards away, etc… This was a few weeks ago.

I’ve heard a lot of good things about it but I’ll be damned if it doesn’t seem like a buggy mess from my experience with it. So now we stick to Discord, or Vent if Discord is having issues. And since I don’t pug, I have no desire to even try using in game voice chat with random’s since it’s a non issue.

No mic for me.

I don’t care to be yelled at or listen to some degenerate talk about how high or drunk they are.

I used it woth my last guild I’m suspicious of external software like Discord (Doesn’t shut down when you close it.) Why do they produce this “Free” software? I assume it’s mainly to gather info about us to sell to anyone who will pay for it.

I don’t like people in general.

I don’t use it because I have a small peepee. I’m guessing other non users fall under the same category

Bwahahahaha That’s awesome!

I’m too dumbdumb to set it up properly. And sometimes I just don’t want to know how my teammates sound like cuz it ruins the fantasy >_< Tank being some 8 year old Asian gaming prodigy while his in game model is a 500 pound pure muscle mass blood DK wearing some pretty badass armor.

The people over the years I’ve cut ties with because they simply couldn’t stop burping as loudly as they could into an open microphone every 3 minutes.

Honestly, I hope those people are rotting in Fel.

I am levelling a tank and will soon start using it so people know how i intend to pull things

2 reasons, first reason is why I dont use voice chat on other online games unless its with friends and thats because I dont want to hear screaming, and “git gud” ext, the second reason is it kills the immersion, if I run with a elf/gnome/orc, and they dont sound like a elf/gnome/orc, pulls me out of the game.

But new voice chat is much better!

Voice chat is more distracting than it is helpful in any gaming situation.

Because people don’t use PTT

No one is ever in it. I’ll join sometime to see if others will, but have yet to find anyone else that does.
