Not sure why you’re playing damage control for Microsoft, but you’re objectively wrong on pretty much every point. There are a number of things that you cannot disable altogether without also breaking other aspects of Windows 10. You cannot disable a lot of the telemetry for instance. I’ve been unable to stop the automatic updates, and they now have an advertisement bar installed on my hotbar with the most recent update.
Bluescreens are typically, from my experience, based on specific software issues or hardware issues. Some users might experience them more often than others. I’ve definitely 100% worked on PCs that were experiencing BSODs with recent up to date Windows10 installs. I personally have not had any during my use of Windows10.
This is the first time that I’ve been pushed to the point that I cannot have Windows on my PC. They’ve just gone way too damn far and it’s very obvious that they have zero respect for their users. I started using Microsoft products with MS DOS and Windows 3.2 and there’s absolutely no reason to defend the actions of Microsoft at this point.
There’s no reason to support forced updates. I could borderline understand for the security argument, but that’s not what they’re doing. They’re forcing updates with all sorts of nonsense implementations like most recently a weather function that bypasses my VPN. Yes, Microsoft, that’s exactly what I want. Clearly. I’m not sure why anyone that understands computers whatsoever could defend Microsoft at this point.
