I know the Blizzard devs are aware of this. What I don’t know is whether there is any actual lore or other justification for the fact that mercenary contracts do not apply to brawls. Does anyone know?
It’s possible they don’t know, because they don’t play the game or speak with the people who do.
Maybe, but I did run across this, which indicates that they know it doesn’t apply to brawls, but they give no reason why:
I just discovered this today. Was getting 3 minutes queue on my ally toons, switched to horde, 15-18 mins queue. Went to dalaran to merc aaaaand… 15 min queue =(
I guess they do know. Odd that there’s a distinction.
Why is this the case? I am currently trying to win the cooking brawl as Horde and it is absolutely impossible. Why exactly may we not use mercenary mode for this?
So you want to use Marc mode because you want a win?
Alliance can’t even use Merc mode for all BG types.
If I could just ask for a Merc mode just to get a win, I’d be asking it for alliance for regular random BGs and Epic BGs…
I imagine some players would abuse it, because it’s basically a specific queued bg that gives random bg rewards.
That’s pretty sad … mercing to hope for a win
