They’ve never had to “confirm” patches in the past. If they confirm any details this time people will try and “force” them to do the same in the future.
The thing is they have. They put raid bosses on the test servers months and months ahead of time. I mean they could pull some surprise and put out a raid with no testing.
Like they go on at Blizzcon and be like here is the new raid and it starts next Tuesday nobody knows anything about it and they don’t publicly test it.
They are kind of running out of time if they are going to meet their August release date for the next expansion the 2 year Aug expansion date is probably mandated by Activison at this point.
Chances are that they’ll announce 8.3 (or the lack of it) alongside the next expansion at Blizzcon, with that coming up relatively soon.
So, about 5 weeks. Not that bad a wait, honestly. And given when 8.2.5 released, it wouldn’t be too surprising for 8.3 to be pretty much put into the PTR right at the announcement time either (not released, just the PTR).
I’m sure they’ll confirm it when they are ready. Expect something at Blizzcon - - They mentioned it during Blizzcon last year.
Speculations will always be around, not sure why, with some silly assumption that it’ll make the next expansion better and something along those lines… ugh.
