Because they are.
Probably because we’ve become over coddled to opinions that differ from our own. We shouldn’t be THAT upset seeing an opinion that we don’t agree with.
I’ve seen political threads on the wow subreddit. And only one kind of opinion seems to be in the comment graveyard of removed when those happen.

so what i’m getting from this is that your comments are just a thinly veiled complaint about conservatives wanting to talk about bigoted nonsense on the wow forums and inappropriate subreddits when they’re not allowed to and they feel “attacked” or some nonsense. you could have just said that from the start so i could ignore it
Political =/= presidents. Threads=/=comments in threads with a political lean.
I like hearing opinions from all different types of people. Thats how someone comes to an informed opinion on something. If someone says something that literally does not make sense but the other one does, perhaps there is merit to that comment.
I don’t need to have a comment removed to protect me from reading it. If its a dumb opinion I’ll figure that out on my own.
Saying 2+2=5 and removing all of the comments that say it equals 4 doesn’t make 2+2=5 any more correct.

Because these forums are the literal bottom of the barrel, a cesspool for the lowest common denominators to yell their awful opinions into the void.
Their moderation turns the place into an echo chamber. I AM KRUMTOILET!!!

In fairness, they weren’t wrong about everyone being whiny.
I still prefer the forums though because no one on the dang forums has tried to steal and take credit for my art.
Forums > Reddit

I’ve actually changed my mind on the whole downvote system. I used to be against it but now, I think it should be brought back.
The subreddit is far more buttkissy.
reddit? good news, if you want to hear differing opinions, there are more than enough different subreddits where you can go to obtain them
Reddit needs mods or else their feeder fish will spend too much time yelling squirrel at the wrong things. Reddit is a cesspool, the moment you give unorthodox advice you get buried by the majority “followers of the way” heaven forbid you criticize someone in a way that also criticizes the majority of their userbase.
Its a shame arena junkies died, now the top players just stay quiet cause you can’t fix dumb on your own.

That is just reddit for you. Don’t pay any attention. Adults who can think clearly understand reddit is just an echo chamber for a certain…uh…Dunning-Kruger type of person. That and kids who think they have life all figured out.
Let them enjoy the smell of their own farts and keep thinking they are better and smarter than everybody. Some will eventually grow up, the rest will wallow in their mediocrity.
Insecure people always have to convince others and convince themselves that someone is worse than they are.
