I’m not saying you’re a liar but I’ve never seen that myself. I have however seen tons of people saying “stop watching insert streamer” when that streamer wasn’t mentioned whatsoever. There have been times where people have said it to me when I don’t even watch said streamer.
And on the other hand, a lot of people take their word as gospel and parrot their ideas even when they’re demonstrably wrong.
I consider it a particularly cringy form of hero worship

Support SA’ing and blaming women for being SA’d
Beg for money
Lie to people in an attempt to emotionally manipulate them into giving them money
They’re republicans and support trump
Promote covid falsehoods
These are a few of my reasons… Pretty good reasons to hate and or dislike them

I hate professional players aswell. They are all bad for the regular players, that just what to have a fun game.
Streamers, ah yes. The same ones that beg for money with merch, subs, and donations but then at a later time do a video bragging about their mansion.

I don’t hate them, I have friends who are full time streamers.
What I don’t like is when people on here just parrot their talking points, or worse just post their video. So much of the BS on here in somebody else’s opinion.

I don’t see it like that at all. I think it’s more a lack of respect for people who use streaming as a platform to earn a living on the backs of viewers who cannot think or act for themselves and need to be led by a carrot stick by someone who may be charismatic but otherwise has few real world skills.
And I don’t throw this out as a blanket statement. There are some bonafide streamers across the entire genre of streaming topics. But most of the ones I’m familiar enough with to speak on are just that, charismatic shepherds leading their sheep while fleecing them for money.

I was speaking generally, not about you personally. Not everything is about you, but narcissism is a thing.
I just hate the one guy because of his obnoxious fans. Don’t care about streamers otherwise.

The only online content creators I have negative feelings towards are those that lean hard into clickbait tactics without producing content good enough to justify their engagement in clickbait tactics.
I understand that everybody on Youtube/Twitch/etc has to play these games to not find themselves drowning in the ocean of other creators without The Algorithm™ giving them so much as a floaty, but their content also needs to be high quality. Without that the clickbait is just garbage that happens to be popular.
