The only opinion that matters in this case is Blizzard’s. Which is good, since most players have terrible opinions.

Not really, I’ve only decided not to waste more time having a debate with you. Real adults tend to make those types of decisions when confronted with the “cite your source” type of debater, because no matter what I come back with you most certainly won’t be satisfied with it.
Translation: I was talking out my behind and I got caught doing it.
I’ve just typed “pvp harassment 2006 2007 2008 WoW” in Google and there are Wowhead discussions on this from back in the day. There are people describing the GM interactions I’ve talked about earlier in this thread. I’m not going to link it just to spite you, though.
Can’t really force people to play the game. Can’t make friends in a game where everyone is just out to make gold! Not much I can do other than asking for help in general chat.
Also, no one ever said to ban these players, so Blizzards opinion is irrelevant here. No one is asking for action to be taken or blizzard intervention. Literally a forum about people venting frustration. We’re just pointing out that some people that play this game clearly do so just to piss off other people because they have nothing better to do.
So, no blue posts.
Most “Real Adults” would show proof of what the claim. Also, “Real Adults” don’t make judgements based on hearsay.

The blue posts are about GMs not being able to do anything. Reading comprehension is hard when you’re trying to create a gotcha moment, huh?
In order to have a friend you need to be a friend.
This is a “you” problem, not an “us” problem.
Idk about you but when I have casual conversations with people I am not asked to produce a peer-reviewed thesis to prove my point. You must be insufferable to be around if you do this to people you talk to on a regular basis.

Nice buzzword. What authority was I appealing to? Am I somehow claiming to be an authority on PvP harassment? I don’t think so. I’m just saying there are blue posts from the era saying they can’t do anything about it, and discussions on forums about people witnessing GM intervention.

Man, nothing gets my blood racing like people arguing about sources in internet forums. Only thing that gets me more excited is when staples gets a new shipment of pocket protectors.

Unfortunately the Wikipedia and social media era of the Internet has made it impossible to have an anecdotal conversation. Everyone is now an armchair debate specialist, and every claim, bold or petty, requires extensive citations. The kicker is that no matter how many citations you provide, the debater that asks for citations will never be satisfied. I find it best to end these conversations early rather than waste my time trying to convince a Debate Andy.
