Player who wants nothing to do with the base of an MMORPG complaining they have to play an MMORPG to do end game.
Just do the quests.
Literally every second people like this spend whining about the forums is time they can use to do the night or two of quests to fully unlock the end game.

Unfortunately that’s how WoW is at endgame now, at least for your first character. Once you have completed the campaign at least once on a character then you can skip in on your Alts. It’s unfortunate that it doesn’t say that from the get go.
On the bright side, completing the campaign will give you a bunch of gold and items and all that good stuff? It’s unfortunate but it is how it is for at least the first character in an expansion.

They want you to use it but the best thing for a new player is to not use it and get use to the game that way. If you’re a new player you would have to go through the storyline first in order to do things. This was said long before shadowlands release.
How do you not find out about these things before buying the game then go on to complain like they’re going to give it to you or something?
I didn’t even click the link, i was trying to defend you but here you are lashing out like a toddler. Good luck in the game, or quit. No difference to me. The game is good, the new guy seems entitled.

SO because you are obviously unsatisfied and just proved that even more so by also announcing unsubbing already, could have saved youself even more money and went trial instead of outright buying.
No sympathy on this one sorry but it sounds like there was already a chip on your shoulder when you purchased the game .

OP
Stop LARPING as a new player
You’re on the realm stormrage
A true new player would never be on a high populated realm due to the game tries to tell you don’t, they prefer you be on the “new players” realm
A true new player wouldn’t even know what to do with honor, nor can you get 15k honor within 10 levels
Making your first character puts you in these said realms

Than why are they allowing me to get to 60 just by random dungeon ?

This is literally a no brainer with no expansion. Running dungeons from 50-60 won’t get you as much as running through the quest does because you’re relying on RNG more than the quest. It’s not that hard to complete the quest.

Yea it sucks. They started doing stuff like this when they tied the borrowed power systems to the story. Hopefully they won’t do that again. Because it sucks to have to do the campaign to get all your stuff.

You’re playing an RPG.
Do. Quests.
Or go play an FPS.
Level isn’t everything.

Before they added the account wide unlocks, I was pumping them out in just an evening for my alts. Less time if I didn’t want to min-max and unlock all the soul binds, which, considering they’re alts, I didn’t bother with outside my priest.
Wait until this dude finds out about how gear works.

“all my friends are reading this cool book. i want to know the story but why do i need to read all the pages!!!”
thats what im seeing. you need to get the plot/do the campaign story ones. after that you can skip it every time on alts

If we raged, this dude might end up quitting and telling people never to play this game again.
you technically can ignore the story but you will not have the systems or rewards unlocked that make your character stronger. no covenant abilities. normal dungeons are locked behind the story. heroic ones should just require gear ilvl. and Mythic shouldn’t care one way or the other. the players might care but the game shouldn’t.
Why do some people think the game doesn’t start until you hit the end of it?

It’s weird, like you could have made all these points which are pretty valid actually without making up a whole fantasy backstory where you’re a new player and your “friends” told you about all the things you have to do and you magically know how much time it’s all gonna take.

Welcome to the mmorpg genre, where there are no real open world sandbox games and every single game dictates the way you play.
I remember 16 years ago when I was 16 and my friends were convincing me to play wow. We were 16 and in school and the idea was “the leveling part is boring but once you have all your skills and can raid its fun”. I imagine its something similar these days with new players.
