That was the same thought I had when healing him. Lol He seemed to enjoy taking damage. xD
One word in recent memory âhalondrusâ. But being so wilfully obtuse towards the points I was making is quite a contrivance.
Amusing how you threw in both hyperbolic strawman and absolutism to try and make a counter point whilst dodging the focus entirely.
New players arenât doing Halondrus at a level where the bugs matter. Experienced players know what to expect and deal with it.
Not what you said. You claimed there were no broken encounters by the time most people get to them.
Halondrus was graphically broken for weeks on end making the lasers invisible along with chunks of the floor. This was not a mythic only problem.
And your response wasnât narrowed to new vs old players so stop flailing.
You brought up stuff like disconnects, sabotage. I did say bugs are few. By broken I assumed you meant overtuning.
No you claimed failure is fun. I respond that it depends on if there is an acceptable condition for it. You then focused in on one of three examples to obscure the rest of my response in what appears as a desperate need not to be wrong.
Read what I said in its entirety and stop the pedantic obfuscation.
Youâre busy trying to score internet points by dismissing context.
Hey itâs ok to be wrong sometimes. It doesnât make you a bad person. Just admit the mistakes, see if thereâs a way to improve and move on.
You donât got change topics to try and win the new argument and still end up wrong.
You donât need to lump in the gameâs actual issues (a few bugs here and there) with things that are exclusive to new players due to their inexperience. May I remind you of your original post?
Depends greatly on why you failed. Itâs not fun to fail because of a disconnect is it? How about sabotage? How about outright broken encounters?
People are ok with failures when they feel the playing field is level. When they have an anchor around their neck not so much.
New players are (through no fault of their own) an anchor. So the solution needs to be teaching new players have real rewards for the teachers.
why would you all be in the same dungeon as a new player? you have to level through BFA for that to happen.
Itâs not just this game⌠itâs the anonymity of the internet. Most people really are @ssholes honestly. They just donât act that way in public because itâs socially unacceptable. If they knew there was 100% chance theyâd either be punched in the face or that everyone one that personally knows them would see this⌠they wouldnât do it.
lol that wasnt a Blizz GM tho, that was you leaving an officer in charge while you stopped playing the game. You are the one who authorised someone to take over your guild in your abscence. Blizz does some silly stuff but thats on you buddy. Commenting on every random post is not going to change anything, Blizz is not going to fix YOUR mistake
On topic tho, really depends on what you mean by hate. Most people dont hate new players but they can get annoyed when new players try to bunny hop content too quickly, like someone wanting to mythic raid when they havent even stepped into a dungeon or looked at a mechanic rundown.
But in general most people I know are fairly welcoming to newbies. If I see an obvious newbie and im tanking for example il take it slow, let them get a feel for pulls and if need be give run downs on mechs if I see someone dying or standing in stuff. Also a person who will fly down and kill a mob for a lowbie or chat with people waiting for a spawn. I dont consider myself a high end player, not anymore. You see more elitist attitudes from the higher ups but ive also seen some amazing interactions from high performers who go above and beyond to help out new players with in depth spec and gear run downs and walkthroughs for raids or keys. Theres good and bad social players in any game, try to find the good ones and ignore the bad ones, you cant make everyone happy
Smol pp energy
it really a type of behavior that comes out in most humans if allowed. this is where the devs have failed
Because what I perceive from the community is you are either BiS everything, all systems in WoW mastered, all instances memorized min/max elite or you are a trash casual player. There is nothing in between.
pretty much. i mean its awesome to top those charts ect but you dont need to be toxic to the people just starting their climb
I like new players. I go out of my way to actually find them.
When I find them, I give them something.
People really forget that they were also ânew/beginnersâ at some point.
agreed. its 100% okay if you want to be elite and only play with elite players but if you sign up for a random you have no right to put people down that are learning
