Stealth is 2 sec cd
Subterfuge is 3 sec in duration that we are waiting for but i see what you mean. Dunno it’s always been my go to and one of the neat small talents that help in all content. It was definitely busted when you could whoop on people and you would remain stealthed. That was just a dumb thing to do, they changed it to what we have shortly after If I remember.

Horrified has absolutely no idea, Eridian is correct.
Stealth has a 2sec cd and most of our abilities have a gcd (globel cd) of 1sec. So even if you came of stealth and hit an ability, there is no situation in the game that requires you to click off subterfuge to get back in stealth. His whole argument makes no sense…
The whole point of the ability is to use stealth abilites as you come out of stealth. If your trying to restealth it means something has knocked you out of stealth or your spamming your non macroed stealth button which will take you out of stealth unpon its second press while in stealth…
If youre undead, your racial gets you out as well.

divine image from enemy holy priests attempt to heal you (confusing as it does damage but says “heal”. The naaru guy I think it is.

blinky mcgee from warlocks (observer? If that is their name) will target you in stealth and knock you out (happened in a bg multiple times but no combat log direct note).
Void elf’s Entropic Embrace proc also has a chance of knocking you out of stealth.
You literally cannot click off subterfuge. No idea what you’re going on about lol.
Getting knocked out doesnt mean something actually knocked you out and put you in combat. The problem is that stealth randomly drops and when you have subterfuge, it will prevent you from restealthing for longer than the stealth cd.
My argument makes complete sense, yours however looks like you didnt read any of what was said
Of course your point makes no sense… why on earth would you need to click off Subterfuge?
If you randomly drop stealth some how without being combat (no idea how unless your clicking off stealth), we have explained that stealth has a 2sec cd… so why would you need to click off subterfuge when there is also a globel cd involved…
Are you also aware if you have on use trinkets, they will also take you out of stealth if you have them macroed into some buttons…
If you’re the only person complaining about something, its most likely something your doing wrong not so much a bug…

Back in WotLK, I would be running around in Northrend and randomly drop stealth. I finally noticed that it was somehow tied to the PvP objectives in Hellfire Peninsula in OUTLAND!!! Whenever one of the three targets (Stadium, Overlook, or Broken Hill) would change hands… my stealth would break… No matter WHERE I was in Azeroth!
Made a ticket. They were able to reproduce it… but had no idea WHY it was happening.
I get this when I vanish. Like I clear out, no DoTs/Bleeds, no flares, AOEs, nothing and it decides to drop my stealth.
Drives me crazy, but I’m just spamming for HKs/Honor so I don’t care enough to ticket it.
This makes sense, must be my tier bonus/I like rupturing someone before I vanish.
This is when I find it annoying. You’re trying to sneak around a pack of mobs and stealth inexplicably breaks. You can’t restealth for 3 seconds and now you’re in combat.
This happens a lot in PvP.
Has been a problem since late MoP.
The best we could determine at the time is that non-damaging aura are causing stealth to drop.
There was a time when frost nova was doing this even though you’re 100% out of range, among several other non damage associated aura that were never rectified excluding via removal of those spells.
Its highly likely this is till taking place.
Notice this is either Frost nova or a cold-snap re-set (possible)

I was wondering what was causing this. I only just started PvPing this season tonight and noticed it happening a lot more than previously. Like in WSG coming from the GY with nobody else near me, going to the middle of the field where people were, stealth broke at least 5-6x just on that short run for me, I had to keep restealthing. I’ve pvpd on my rogue since 2004, it always would occasionally break but only once in a blue moon. Tonight it happened in a 10 min WSG at least 30-40 times, pretty much the entire time I was out of combat. Wondered why I couldn’t sap anyone only to find out I was out of stealth.
It’s not dots, it’s not the iced phial, it’s not the onyx ring. I checked the activity log and there’s nobody near me coming from the GY but as I approach people fighting it keeps breaking. If it was a player ability causing it wouldn’t that show up in the logs?
Could it be an embellishment? Like the Toxic Thorn Footwraps or the Toxic Armor Patch or Shadowflame Armor Patch? But the text says you have to attack for that proc to take effect and I’m not attacking, in fact I’m not near anyone when my stealth breaks.
It has something to do with Subterfuge having aura buffs applied to you. I’m constantly getting unstealthed in PVE while playing Outlaw in keys if people walk into range of me because my Sark cloak applies to them. Doesn’t happen at all when I play Sub in keys.

So is it the Sark cloak or Subterfuge? I will test for both then.
It was the Sark cloak for me…once I took it off I stopped having issues.

its the shadowflame enchant. if you have 2… like scabandari… its gonna break more often.
get rid of your enchant, you wont have the problem as much. other things can cause this too.
but i notice shadowflame enchant proc will ultimately do more harm than good if you rely heavily upon stealth.
or quite simply, use it on your offhand. so it doesnt proc as much.
it used to happen to me pretty often… breaking my cc, gouges, stealth. put it on offhand only and now it barely happens. im sure there are other procs that can cause this to happen to… but shadowflame was the issue for me, because i use alot of procs… so procs would occur off the shadowflame dot. it really depends on what your gear and build is. some things just dont jive well.
i dont use sark cloak. so no idea on that… but i notice many dots seem to cause this issue.

this has got to get fixed. i mean as a rogue everything depends on being stealth
its ridiculous be creepin bam out of stealth. no flares no reason. Like man why is this so difficult to get right? think someone got a real hate for rogues is what it is.
Don’t hold your breath, it’s been busted for over a decade.
They clearly have no idea how to fix it and with so few people playing Rogue, they have no reason to care.
Even if every Rogue quit the game they wouldn’t even notice the loss in subs.
Edit to add: was just doing visions on my Assassin, nomatter how hard I tried I couldn’t stay in stealth for more than a few seconds, so I was WAY down in power the entire time without having my openers.
