Why does it take me 3 laps to find anything in oribos?

You don’t even need to use the cardinal directions. just use the dang map. It takes literally 2 seconds to look at the map and find where you need to go. Unless you’re one of the smooth brains that can’t figure out what Hall of Holding means.

Does your map not work? How have you gone this long and not learn where anything is? By now you should know that crafters are in the Hall of Shapes. The bank is in the Hall of Holding. PvP vendors are in the Enclave. It’s really not hard.

LOL

man, im glad im not the only one…can we get a google maps addon? xD

same for me, idk if the npcs dont load in the first 2 times or im just blind but i always have to go a full circle to actually find anything lmao

Because you have bad memory?

It’s not hard to remember pvp is west, vault northeast, inn east, bolvar southwest.

What were we talking about?

There is an excellent add-on that you should use! Handy Notes - Oribos!

It’s not that hard if you can read and match your map indicator with the area you’re trying to get to…but then again the average WoW player couldn’t find PvP vendors so we had to have those removed for a few expansions…

and why is there only a mailbox? …

Have you seen the the new Oribos ad for maw walkers?

It’s so daunting to have to run through the middle

Shut yer face, slackjaw, or they’ll have to sew it back on again

Bfa had many problems but Boralus was a great city and convenient to use.

Oribos looks like they copy and pasted. Make one section, copy, rotate 90 degrees, paste …

Daunting? No. Annoying? Absolutely. Immersive? Nope. Time wasting? Yup. Why? Who knows?

I bet flying won’t be allowed in oribos

Oribos is probably the worst hub city they have done. Soulless, ugly, forgettable, and confusing. I cannot wait to leave it.

Cuz it doesn’t work. Like I am happy terrible design works for you I guess?

Here’s something I just realized recently… when, you guessed it, trying to navigate Oribos

You can move while you have the map open.

Seriously. Just open the full screen map and go to your destination while it’s up.

Also, yes, this is an inevitable issue given the design. The symmetry, uniformity of colors and shapes, and lack of strong distinguishing features make it difficult to navigate easily. Not to mention the fact that the teleport between levels can be disorienting.

EDIT: after double checking, yes, the above is mostly true, though there is one device there to help you identify areas when you’re in the inner ring: there are large icons above the entrances to each major area. For instance, the Hall of Shapes has a giant hammer, whereas The Idyllia (the inn) has a beer stein.

This would help… if you could see it. They’re too high. I literally have never noticed it before, because… classic level design problem… people never look up. (In fairness the icons are also around the doorframes, but they’re too small to be noticeable, unless you’re both very close, and looking for them.)

I think a few signs/signposts that we can mouse over to see what’s what would help.

I used the mailbox as a guidance.
