Why does horde hate Void Elfs?

Yeah, but that goes back to the other situation right?

It’s a personal definition of Blood Elves.

WoW’s got a pretty defined definition of High Elves and Blood Elves we’re all working on.

And nobody is wasting the time to explain that right? Because they’re trolling.

I think the thing is that Blood Elves were the Splinter Faction and they got big? Like, in Vanilla WoW there is A Blood Elf.

Before all the Retcons, Blood Elves were all basically out in Outland.

Burning Crusade changed all of that.

And everyone in Quel’thalas was dead, and there were very few remaining living high elves.

The blood elves existing in large numbers outside Kael’s troops is a retcon, sure. But so is so many high elves being alive. I remember going from BC to Wrath. The Silver Covenant came out of nowhere. They were a retcon too.

Calling blood elves the splinter faction is ridiculous.

I see you are down with giving feedback on writing. This is just an FYI so you can improve yours since you seem to care.

Should not be written with an apostrophe. Never use an apostrophe to pluralize anything. Ever. Not even for acronyms.

Noun apostrophe s means “that belonging to noun.”

If there are multiple subjects in a noun you put s then apostrophe.

Back on topic, I don’t understand why Anti-Belf activists always demand what Blood Elves have instead of asking for something new and unique.

Why is that?

I don’t get that either Zan

Going off their posts this poster seems to headcanon Blood Elves as the splinter group LOL.

Sounds an awful lot like the old weird fan fiction ideas they had of BEs being only on Outland, and being some weird invasive group of Elves that stole Quel’thalas from them.

Horde doesn’t generally like void elves because alliance players have been throwing a 13+ year long tantrum over blood elves being on the horde faction and saw void elves as being rewarded for the temper tantrum.

Personally-- void elves are fine to me. But I’m a player who thinks factions in general should go because I’m not a fan of how they’re ever written.

A lack of creativity and self awareness.

I’m talking about historically. The idea of it being ridiculous only makes sense after Burning Crusade. They’re the Elves who dipped to Outland. Then retconned into existence in Quel’thalas.

They start out as a Splinter Faction. Check out the Frozen Throne Instruction Manual where they’re like, “This is a group of High Elves.”

I’m pretty sure it is. What Blood Elf ingame calls themselves a High Elf? The game over and over again for years has recognized them as separate groups of Thalassians. Even as recently as Legion.

It is, starting with Ion’s, “The Horde is Waiting For You.”

The WoW encyclopedia explicitly states who the Blood Elves and High Elves are so that the audience knows and that definition hasn’t changed over time.

Hence the reason why they’re willing to throw a “High Elf Sorceress” into Stormwind and expect you to know what they’re talking about.

I was talking about historically. In WC3, Kael renamed all the high elves into blood elves. The fact that any elves remained with the name high elf was a retcon introduced in Vanilla WoW.

There are still High Elves running around in Warcraft 3 as part of the Human armies when you’re playing Blood Elves.

That’s part of Burning Crusade really. Frozen Throne says they are, “A group of High Elves.”

Nothing I hate more than seeing people throwing temper tantrums rewarded for their bad behavior.

Also blood elves are literally the high elves renamed. I don’t understand why people can’t understand something so simple.

Even my twelve year old niece understands the concept of a name change.

I don’t see why grown adult nerds can’t grasp the concept.

So confused.

What? Where?

I’m going to doubt that.

You know, blizzard should just make alleria go crazy and give all six of the remaining high elves a void injection and get over it. Void Elves are much more interesting than bland elves whose entire blank slate personality revolves around being human waifus.

I’m tired of people who don’t know lore spreading misinformation.

Presumably in Dalaran since the fact the Kirin For betrays the blood elves at he behest of the Alliance isn’t exactly news.

Both elven units were casters.

Oh right, the one with Jenalla Deemspring. I forgot that took place after the renaming.

Granted, they would be the splinter group. Kael’s blood elves would be the main group.

Were there any high elves in Dalaran in WC3 though? I remember being really surprised to find high elves in Dalaran in Wrath.

Do you mean the Alliance jailers had two elven caster units? Sorry, I’m slow tonight.

There are the Theramore Elves too though.

Here are all the Vanilla WoW Elves. (Assuming this person has them all.)
