Until they decided to nerf arcane torrent.

I race changed from Belf to Zandalari because I preferred their aesthetic. I love the characters height and their animations (save for her running animation). I didn’t like how small all weapons become in the hands of a female belf. It doesn’t hurt that the Zandy females can wear the platekinis without looking weird as well.

It’s quite simple: Blood Elves are for people who want Alliance race aesthetics, but want to play on the Horde faction. You know, Horde posers.

It’s petty; but my horde pally is a BE purely because they have feet and the boot armor actually covers them.

I can not stand the big Character modles on mounts like the paladin class mounts. Although I like the legion class mounts so that’s why my char stayed Blood Elf. Torrent is an aoe purge is awesome. I wish torrent hadn’t been changed I loved it as an aoe silence.

The real reason there is so many belfs is that for a long time it was the only option and most people dont feel strongly enough towards cows or trolls to level a new paladin or pay for a race change

what sims are you looking at? belfs are only behind humans in sims at the moment, they have been best for horde for a long time due to their Arcane Acuity racial, its not by much though but it all adds up

Honestly? Probably a lot of this. If it weren’t for every last one of my RL friends playing horde, I’d be Alliance all day. My paladin was originally made in TBC, BE was the only option. This is a new account, so obviously Zandalari are a long way off, and playing a Holy Cow would just feel all kinds of wrong.

So…Blood Elf it is!

and with the arrival of the zandalari there is no reason to play with an elf.

Chances are, the char existed before beef and troll options and dont want to race change.

Couple reasons. They’re neither huge nor tiny. I dislike both huge and tiny races. Armor always looks good on them. You can relate to them at least a little because they’re basically beautiful humans with long ears. Cow people and trolls with tusks and scaly skin just don’t scream “holy warrior” to me.
