you gotta balance around the boys at the top for any game.
remember the LoL dev Morello? he always preached that concept, and was always right. there was an interview uhhhhhh 8? years ago with people that would ask him dumb stuff like HEY HEY MORELLO why havent you nerfed evelynn yet?!?! and morello would have to explain to them that in the highest elo, evelynn was GARBAGE TRASH because good players knew what they were doing.
good devs NEVER listen to the casuals. their attention is on those who are the best at their game. the most progressed. the most dedicated. giving into those at other skill ranges(which wow STILL DOES, btw) cheapens the game. and the most progressed people in this game RAID.
You donât see how it can hurt the game, because you wonât care in that hypothetical, cause youâll have your gear, but it will. There is no reason to play WoW if you cannot force your way through all the muck to stand out as an actual good player. All actual good players would not play WoW if the best gear was given out through world quests. And without actual good players WoW would die.
Go play Warframe if you want a game where 100% of the community is the same skill level.

i hate when people say stuff like that. people play games because they like the game. not because of the technical stuff surrounding it. nobodys likes either of those games for that aspect. heck they arent even in the same genre.
dont get me wrong. I LOVE WARFRAME. lore is great. visuals/animations are amazing. customization is off the charts!
but i havent played it in 4 months cause its too easy :3

Design goals from 2004 are beyond irrelevent in 2020. End-game is the core content of expansions.
Though leveling being slow does not equate to it being intended as being the primary goal of what Blizzard wanted players doing. Itâs more a reflection on the state of MMOâs back then.
His logic is so ridiculous.
They didnât have any raids at the beginning of wow because there was no point in releasing them until people got max level, got gear were able to run them.
Vanilla had how many raids? 6 or 7 big ones I recall.
Wow never has raids available at the beginning of ANY expansion really.
I just canât believe how daft this guy is being. He doesnât believe they balance classes around end game/mythic raids.
This has been a fact for years. How can someone argue it at this point? lol

The only reason i did a raid or dungeon in legion / BFA, was because some goofy profession/quest mechanic forced me.
i believe its balanced around endgame. its hardly a stretch. but to say its balanced around raids is a very strong statement. it implies that every other mode is irrelevant in the eyes of blizzard and balance in all other modes in purely side effects of raid balance. which is just plain absurd.

Because most people have seen the majority of content from vanilla to endgame enough times to not want to keep doing it. Endgame is where progression is at in WOW.
Yea there are plenty of achievements players could go hunting for but plenty of us simply have no desire to spend hours getting an achievement from old content that rewards nothing special.

I donât need another alt⌠I do other things within the game other than PVP that is⌠but end game is what keeps me around⌠the rest of it is what I do when Iâm bored.
