Why does blizzard want players suffering?

There could be many small changes that make us happier, but they refused to do it.

Because every day is pretzel day at work and they have to get the salt from somewhere. :pretzel:

They’re taking suggestions for a rainy day. These aren’t the rainy days. WoW is still on top.

Blizzard are pro #nochanges

To be fair pretzels are delicious. They’re doing good work.

Because it is our fault for not recognizing their genius.

Either that or they are using Blizzard as a front while they manufacture a really, really big sword to drive right into Iowa. The sword will distract us from their nefarious plans with lizard people and Hollywood and that lady who made Bernie’s mittens and anyone who uses 5G.

Also chemtrails something-something and Biblical prophecies.

I don’t like him either

BlizZard works in mysterious ways.

They also don’t know what they are doing.

Both statements are true!

Because what seems like common sense to us, is actually not at all sense, from their perspective.

They have metrics. The main one is year over year growth. How can we make more money than last year? When the game has been successful for almost 17 years, even with a few big setbacks, that becomes difficult.

Research shows, and it is correct, that playtime equals engagement, and engagement equals more money from services and tokens. Just selling the box and the sub is a given for them, and quite frankly, not even close to as big of a potential margin in that yoy growth as services and tokens are.

In other words, they can completely fail on subscriptions–lose tons of subs. But they can make that up very, very easily by selling more wow tokens. Wow tokens have absolutely zero cost to acquire the customer. Theres no labor, literally no cost.
