This is a really dumb argument where luxury goods are concerned, as which I’d class customizations in a video game. They’re not necessary on the whole, nobody needs them, not for anything you like or anything they like. They’re all, every one, a want, a desire, a wish.
And they’re all concerning a piece of entertainment, effectively asking for things one wants to see in the entertainment they’re consuming. There is literally nothing wrong with that.
Again. “You don’t need it” is not an argument. Besides that it’s not at all up to you to do decide what other people need. But the rest of your answer makes it pretty clear that you’re one of those people who made their character race part of their own identity and feel threatened by the thought of some Alliance guy running around with a pretty braid.
That’s sad, man. But now I understand, no further explanations needed.
I’ve made proper arguments. You can disagree, but they’re there.
But you didn’t bring any arguments at all to the table. Didn’t you guys learn in school what an argument is? “You don’t need it”, “You’re childish”, “Be satisfied and look for something else” don’t have anything to do with arguments. All you did was dismissing the opinion of others as unreasonable.
I still don’t know why changes would be bad for the game and what reason there could be to fight against them.
Opinion given there’s very little difference between Void Elves and Blood Elves now, if hairstyles are that big of a deal they can play a Blood Elf instead of a Void Elf it’s not hard the option has been there since 2007.
What’s sad is you won’t just play a Blood Elf while claiming you wanna be a High Elf and have all of our stuff, pick your lane or use your wannabe options, either way this will more than likely never happen so be grateful for your pretender options.
Imo it’s honestly too late for player housing. Would that really bring in subs if it was an expansion feature? I doubt it.
“and have all our stuff”
Are you a Blood Elf in real life?
Over the years, I’ve felt like it’s an ego thing.
Both new, modern blizzard, and the old school blizzard are known for their egos.
The modern team has to put their half-baked spin on things, which turns out, doesn’t justify their egos time and time again.
Garrisons is a bit off-topic and kinda a WoW version of what was hot in mobile gaming at the time and I get the feeling they were told they had to do it.
Are you a Void Elf in real life?
No, but I only talked about having hair styles for my character ingame. You’re acting like someone’s trying to perform some cultural appropriation and personally taking something away from you. You seem genuinely upset and personally attacked about this thought.
because when they do internal testings and surveys they found out people don’t actually want the things you listed above and it’s just a loud, vocal minority.
I personally don’t want ANY of those things. Also you answered your own question, you said; things that “SOME” people have been asking.
Because it’s SOME.
If you aren’t playing Void Elves for the race, perhaps you shouldn’t be playing them.
You put far too much on hairstyles which is kind of weird because Void Elf hairstyles are fine how they are, they are supposed to be emo based and they are.
Its the opposite.
Blizzard gave you what you want.
You dont think it is.
This whole conversation is about getting proper High Elves for the alliance side. I really don’t know what Void Elves have to do with this now.
That is the Alliance High Elves, Void Elves are as Ion put it another flavor of High Elves, you can’t have something we already have, good lord how many times does this have to be explained to you people. Ugh.
Wah wah my race is already wearing these hair styles, you mustn’t have them wah.
But calling me childish, lmao.
Excuse me now. I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable now talking to people who have problems differentiating between their own identity and a video game character.
You don’t think you are childish asking for something that’s been in the game almost 20 years now, really?
Just trying to be sure that you are actually serious like serious.
They can also request the same hairstyles for what is effectively the same race on the other side. In fact, if they’re such a small thing nobody should have a problem with it in the first place.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with it other than it seems to offend your personal sensibilities.
And I can request the opposite, amazing how that works isn’t it Maur or do you not understand that?
I do, but when it comes to turning down a request your own position smacks more childish than the former.
Because you’re denying it on the basis that this luxury good isn’t necessary.
Which we’ve already established is a dumb thing to do.
What’s dumb is to have a problem with hairstyles you have to begin with when you claim it’s such a small thing, pick your lane if me not wanting to share Blood Elf ones with Void Elf is small so is them wanting them thus you are saying this is all dumb and shouldn’t even be an issue.
Therefore it leads me back to if they want Blood Elf hairstyles instead of Void Elf hairstyles play a Blood Elf, simple as that.
If it is, then it’s arguably far less foolish to request it than to deny it on the basis that it isn’t necessary. Because like I said, this is all luxury, none of it is truly necessary.
I don’t have a lane, I just saw something dumb and felt like pointing it out, lmao.
Or they could request on the official forums to have additional hairstyles.
Which they’re doing.
Which for some reason you take umbrage with.
Which is pretty silly.
