Why does anyone heal?

ok, but times change. Whether you’re actually ‘tipping a beanie’ or ‘tipping a fedora’ the expression itself has died in the past 20 years. It now references the aggressive ‘im a good guy’ stereotype that many people try to stay away from. It elicits a feeling of cringe and has died off.

This brings up a good point too. People want healers to spam dps, interupts etc, when they aren’t healing. But a healers GCD is more important than a DPS - and even a tanks (since they usually have several seconds to pop a defensive). As healers need to be able to react quickly to incoming damage as it happens. Which (depending on the content) can be from a tank losing aggro, dps standing in stuff, or other random occurrences.
