“Why do you play your faction?”

Wellllllll…

I can be a Gnome…

My friends are on Alliance…

I can be a Gnome…

I started on Alliance…

I can be a Gnome…

My elder brother started on Alliance and he got me into the game…

I can be a Gnome…

We have Ironforge…

Gnomes are awesome (some even make cookies)…

I like Alliance lore more so than Horde…

And finally in case I was not clear enough…

I CAN BE A GNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOME!!!

So yeah, that’s the gist of it.

Can’t have a proper WAAAAGH unless you got da boiz to do it with!

Nah, you’re gunna hafta scream it louder for the folks in the back.

(hands megaphone)

So, then you’re that kind of Ork.

The Horde is cooler from a lore and visuals perspective.

Because void elves can’t be Paladins and don’t have normal skin and hair colors.

If high elves were a thing I’d be Alliance.

The Alliance have gradually morphed from the flawed and complex faction that was shown in WC3 to a supremely boring collection of painfully sincere boyscouts.

They also got shafted on Allied Races.

Not that Horde doesn’t have its flaws. To name a few: We’ve also been morphed away from our WC3 representation, our original warchief was turned into a self-doubting weakling, and our subsequent warchiefs continue to be killed because too many Blizzard staff watched Game of Thrones.

Okay so I play both. But I’m extremely biased to preferring Horde.

More so I like my Alliance server Proudmoore. shrugs

Tichondrius is nice for Horde and I find liking my server and feeling it’s friendly is very important for me.

I prefer the Horde story, cities, aesthetic. I like the contrast of Kalimdors noble vibe, versus the darker themes of Eastern Kingdom Horde. I think Blood Elves even start out friendly with UC. I prefer the more pragmatic, dark themes of the Horde, not too keen on the noble nature it also embodies at different times. But Alliance always feels weird to me, like where are the forsaken where are all my forsaken buddies to give me quests. I also like what they did adding Nightborne to Horde, their story being so close to Blood Elves combined with their common ancestry from the Highborne of Night Elf society makes sense and I look forward to the continued Easter egg dialogue between the two races.

Tauren and now Vulpera.

I don’t play a faction, I am trapped by one.

I play race/class combos I like.

Faction is something Blizzard forces on me because some people wanna PvP.

I play both factions and there is toxicity on both sides. I enjoy playing both factions and experiencing all the game has to offer. I was more Horde in the beginning because frankly the races were more interesting and had more class options. I was really surprised to see how few options there are to play a paladin on the Alliance. It’s like playing a Star Wars game and only being allowed one type of human to play a jedi.

I originally started Horde due to a friend inviting me to the game. I fell in love with the variety of race/class options and stayed. During MOP, I got bored and wondered what the Alliance do so I made a toon. Wasn’t too impressed so just parked the toon until BfA. I really didn’t like the Horde questing areas/feel of it but found I did like the Alliance side. So during this expac I have been playing both sides. I am truly and faithfully committed to Horde tho, its my home and my family. For The Horde!

8 lvl 120 horde toons keep me playing horde

Because the only Horde race worth playing - to me - is the undead.

Till they killed it flower child movement. It was perfect for me. Savage, war like and nasty. It was my kind of fantasy game. Now i have lost all interest in horde. Only reason i place alliance is to raid with family/friends. Just can play alliance lite. It just sicking for me. AS i started wow in 2005 and it was boring till they starting ongoing dark. It no longer my horde.

My old friends play alliance, so I joined Alliance. After what happened to BFA, some went to ESO, some went to others. I decided to join Horde, because I like the horde races a lot. I only like two Alliance races so far.

Blood Elves

I hated Horde content this time around.

I decided i wanna try Alliance for what is left of BFA and then Shadowlands.

Enjoying myself so far.
