If you play for PVP and only for PVP great, keep playing and keeping enjoying.

I traditionally dislike pvp and BRs… however I enjoy wow so I gave Plunder a chance and enjoy it. Sometimes people have to stop being so close minded.

I have played a few matches and its not the game for me. I may try to get to 6 for the first pet. After that I may consider pushing through to 11 for a mount and a second pet. If it wasn’t for the rewards I would have stopped after the first couple of matches. I can’t see myself slogging my way past that.

I’m a PVE player, I’ve been primarily focused on grinding the renown after I got the feat of strength for winning one of these.

no. WHen you kill a player you get thier plunder. Doing the questsm which is just playing the game helps you get renown. Its just like playing a regular battle royale, and in its infancy stage. Hope it stays, it’s fun and addicitng.

We need a bigger boost to try and entice players to actually PVP and not just PVE in a PVP game mode.

I like the pirate theme but I don’t find the actual gameplay of this to be engaging. I’m gonna grind it for the rewards and avoid PvP to the best of my abilities, then not come back to it once I have everything I’m after. Even if they increase the rewards for engaging in the PvP aspect, I just do not enjoy that part of it, but playing this mode feels required with all the neat stuff gated behind it.

Thank you for atleast trying the game. its not really required because of gating. Everything in the game has specific conditions to meet to get a mount or cosmetics, DO every even to get love rocket for a year, killing mythic fyrakk to get that mount.

But if you have an eye on the rewards, or only want the rewards, the latest change to renown is still not enough. Mathematically the quest bum rush tactic is still the fastest way to gain renown, especially for those who are not good enough for a win.

Now if you do a full match, with some quick maths depending on how long the game goes for give or take with how many kills you can get, assuming you can win, that will give you around the same renown for just rushing the quest and dying.

The quick quest reward without PvP is the only thing keeping this event going.

If you are truly doing this event for the pure enjoyment of it, you shouldn’t begrudge the other players who get a reward even without making it that far into the event. But I suspect that, as usual, you derive your enjoyment of this game from other players NOT getting as substantial rewards as you are getting.

We basically already do this. My first 5-10 mins in the game is killing pve mobs, and collectign chests to get spells, and then pvp.
