I am just tired of the awful narrative that tries to make the elves good guys when the Amani where simply defending their land.

Elves ARE the good guys and Amani are the bad guys.

The Gods of Zul Aman patch trailer was the best of its era. Not beaten until perhapse the Isle of Thunder patch trailer.

I like playing the bad guy. It’s why I went Horde in vanilla.

Because Zul’jin kicks ***. Dude simply drips charisma. Right or wrong - dude got an audience.
That, and a bit of hope I’m sure that eventually male troll players will get that thick daddio body those Amani got. You know, instead of being twigs. Or more recently, more-upright and prehistoric, but still mostly-twig trolls they got.

People really gotta stop attaching their sense of morality or real world politics to these things. The amani are cool because they look cool and Zul’jin gave a banger monologue in that trailer.

At the same time sacking their forest temple is fun af. Troll raids are always dope and have the most fun fights.

They are literally colonized people on the brink of extinction.

Because I like Trolls. My favorite Trolls are the Zandalari then the Darkspear Trolls and the Forest Trolls. Amani are the most famous and powerful Forest Troll tribe so of course I like them. Were an allied of the old Horde too, another point why I like them.

Politics sure, Morality, nah.

I can enjoy settings where you play the bad guy (Tyranny is a great game. Love me my amoral battle lawyers), but those settings don’t sit and moralize at you like WoW’s writers sometimes do.

They make good enemies.

I only know them as the main troll group that kept killing all the other trolls and races for their gods.

And the Armani Warbear.

They never killed other Trolls wtf.

If the game is gunna try and moralise at me then i am going to attach my real morality to it, simple as that

You tell him yes.

You taught humans how to conjure fireballs and civilization has never recovered.

Yeah and was a mistake by large. Making humans rise to power made the rest of Azeroth suffer.

In fairness the elves (and gnomes, and dragons) also tried to teach the humans self control - the best the human magi came up with was a king of mages (the guardian), a plan that was completely foolproof and would never ever fail.
