But there are entirely too many min/max players-- who tend to be very vocal indeed on these forums-- who would complain mightily, as they see an actual and (to them) vital difference between 12,535,285 and 12,534,936. And complain even more because they can’t get the right trinket thingy for that extra 300 points of damage.

I’ve thought about that myself - whether M+ is even sustainable in a game like WoW.

Heck, cosmetic rewards, + the weekly chest, with a side of gear tokens might be a nice middle ground. Not quite so much as a gear faucet as it is now, far less mandatory for raiders, but still an appealing way to gear up, while providing relevant, rewarding and most of all and challenging 5-man content to the very end of the expansion.

I’d be just fine going back to completely cosmetic rewards, too, but I think providing at least a little bit of gear on the side would give your average player a lot more of an incentive to run the things. Having a decent population’s always important.

Its a lazy and cheaper way to develop the game. Wow is the only RPG I have ever played that constantly takes your power away.

Friend,

You are not gonna feel “not powerful” - you will feel the same. This is to make both the front-end (user) and back-end (their computer system) experience to be a lot more wieldy, in layman’s terms.

The numbers are relative to other current numbers. Smaller numbers are easier to read. I’d like to see a venn diagram of people who are on prescription drugs and people who have a problem with number squishes.

Being the grump that I am, perhaps we should give the option for people to see big numbers. While I am getting numbers in the thousands or tens of thousands, they can have numbers in the trillions or tens of trillions… without separators. :smiling_imp:

I’m just happy that leveling is being completely revamped because it just sucks right now. That alone is making me happy because I want my friend to play but he has no interest in going through 120 levels and 6 different zones to do so. And I really can’t fault him for that.
