Why do you insist on making it harder to support you

Obama would be about where I’d put right of center. Tucker is definitely further right than him.

So where does progressive woke culture fit in your assessment?

BTW there is also nothing anti-war about todays left either. The anti-war candidates are Sanders, Gabbard and Trump. Everyone else wants the US in the middle east for as long as possible to make as much $$$ as possible.

Left and right are not what they used to be.

Lol, oh yeah. How old do you think I am?

Carlson is hot garbage. He’s not a legitimate news source in any sense of the word.

It’s complicated. I do think “call-out culture” can be annoying. But at the same time, many minorities and women have lived like second-class citizens for a long time. It was in our parent’s lifetime when African Americans were given equals rights. It wasn’t that long ago.

And the video game industry is male-dominated. I’m not saying the men working on games aren’t qualified to be doing so. But diversity is beneficial, and should be encouraged. And I, for one, like to hear what’s it like to be a woman or a minority entering into a male-dominated industry.

None of them are currently anti-war, you’re right. I would rather they have stronger positions on the subject. But Trump isn’t anti-war either, despite what he says. The troops that he pulled away from the Turkish border? They’re still in Syria. They’re not on the way home.

You’re right, left and right are not what they used to be. We currently live in a very right-leaning, pro-corporate society. So while some people might think that the democrats are “far-left,” they most certainly are not. It might seem that way relative to what we’ve been dealing with recently, but they aren’t.

Just like you wouldn’t call someone like Obama “far-right” if we currently had a communist regime, don’t call these people far-left.

Talking abouy inclusion at a gaming convention? Yeah thats a bad idea

Only to people who seem to hate and fear inclusion.

Special treatment isnt equality.
Pandering isnt activism.

Woke politics is a death sentence for every business that pushes it. Especially when it comes to videogames.

You may not find it important, but there are just the same amount of people that do. All this post shows is just that you want things your way, and get tired of things trying to go to other people.

What a broad, childish and ignorant statement that has absolutely no.basis in fact. People go to blizzcon to talk about the games not tl get preached at. Thats all they want and thats all blizzard should give them at blizzcon

The funny thing is, I actually think you believe this. You think the vast majority of people read something like: Seminar on Starting at Blizzard as a Female Manager… and think: “REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I hate and fear women having power, WE MUST HATE THIS TO PROTEC THE PATRIARCHY!”

This is why everything woke culture touches turns to crap - because woke culture is driven by people who are out of their minds and don’t understand how the real world works.

I agree with the first two sentences. But it’s definitely not a death sentence. The problem isn’t that the companies talk about this stuff. It’s just that they are all talk. If it wasn’t profitable they wouldn’t continue to do it. And they have done this for a few Blizzcons.

“Go Woke Go Broke” is extremely misinformed as a statement. It’s more like “Change your business twitter logo to a rainbow for a month, cash in, and change it back with no mention till next year. Repeat”

I do. Anyone who is so vehemently opposed to panels that they are not required to attend are clearly overreacting to something.

What are they overreacting to? They don’t need to attend these panels. They can go to Blizzcon and go to panels about nothing but video games. But the mere presence of these things is sending them into a forum rage.

It’s quite obvious that they hate that these panels exist.

I disagree, they should keep the focus on gaming and not politics.

Here is a nice balanced centrist statement.

If XXXX exists why does YYYY not exists.
If you say XXXX must exist but YYYY can’t, you are the one with hate.

I want BOTH sides represented. Let ideas win in the marketplace of ideas. If it truly is a good thing it will spread. If its false and people can see it, it will fail.

These panels seem to be a waste at a gaming convention. Besides, nothing -new- is going to be discussed in this panels. It’s just going to be the same “Diversity” mantras repeated over and over again.

I’d much rather see panels talking about video game related things, at a video game convention.

Heck, maybe they could launch some lore panels and discuss stuff and how they see things, and possibly get new ideas on how to not make the story writing feel so bad.

What are “both sides” here? One side is: Minorities and women should be included.

The other side, either by direct support or by omission is: that they shouldn’t be.

If you argue for “let’s just focus on video games” you are de-facto supporting a status quo where people aren’t included.

If the video game industry can’t recognize this about itself, then it has a rotten core.

Funny thing is, he doesn’t claim to be. He knows it and is honest about it. Openly calls out how he isn’t BTW - he also is one that is completely anti-war, anti-authoritarian and anti-corporate culture. He also brings on people who he disagrees with and gives them equal time like Gabbard…

Now CNN on the other hand pretends they are a neutral news source based on facts when they are not.

Cool, 95% of them are that, so go watch those.

Are you seriously that blind?

Would you be ok if white males had specific panels given to them along side women and minorities?

That’s both sides.

Not my side gets what it wants or it doesn’t

Most of the panels and presentations are run by white males already. You have that.

Is it really so terrible to your delicate sensibility that some are about other people’s issues?
