Why do you dragonslayers get it so easy in PvP....?

Nope.

PvP was extremely popular before. Don’t parrot garbage GD talking points if you don’t know what you’re talking about.

Maybe you can put two and two together then? If there are less people PvPing then it becomes that much harder to reach the deflated rating that gives equivalent gear to an easy +10, which as you even noted is simple to buy a carry for if you can’t even manage to do something that hundreds of thousands of people do each week. There is no comparison in difficulty between getting above duelist and doing a +10, which is why I said it’s completely lopsided.

The bar is still low.

MoP was NON RATED PvP mostly, people doing it for easy weekly points so they could buy gear. Remember MoP didn’t have Mythic+ content yet. So it was very easy to do your weekly point grind for gear if you were not a raider and without mythic+ content it was a good option for non-serious players.

Bluster, thank you so much. I love the sweet taste of factual data being brought about.

Rated PvP was just as popular as raiding. But go ahead and move the goalposts again.

Read Blusters post above. That was MoP participation. It coincided with PvE. I did PvP heavily within that expansion and it was poppin every day. In BGs, Arenas and even World PvP. Any way to Sunday, PvP was not a niche and actually was a core part of the experience.

Now if you want to argue that it’s not popular now, then you’d have a better argument because it’s a complete mess right now.

Dragons are far more dangerous than Gladiators. A Gladiator should be of trivial difficulty to a Dragonslayer. This is the way.

Do either of you actually have any numbers to back up your claims? I mean I don’;t but I seriously doubt you do either. Either way, it doesn’t matter because even if it was that would mean one expansion nearly 8 years ago.

I’m not arguing against that at all. It is a terrible mess…It’s a fire hot dumpster garbage heap that needs to either be completely removed from the game or a stat budget like resilience needs to be brought back to help get the PvP aspect of the game off life support. But i fear many of the current dragonslayers would rather the former happen instead of the latter.

Alliance are red for my toon in-game… If it’s RED, it’s DEAD.
You here me TED!

Did…did you not read the tweet from Holinka?

You can read the tweets from Holinka himself, who in case you missed it was the dev in charge of PvP at the time.

Now where are your numbers to claim PvP has never been popular? Any source at all that it was never popular prior to BFA? No?

No, I tend to consider twitter to be the cesspool of the internet. Well that and reddit

You don’t have to go to Twitter, they are readable in my post above.

Good thing we can read it here right?

Look I will give you that in MoP PvP was far more popular than today, it after all was one of the easiest ways to gear up for non raiders. But even you two have admitted that it is no where near as popular any longer.

And stop acting like I am acting the PvP community. Hell I got the 100k PvP achievement god damn 10 years ago. I was into PvP back then, I earned rank 12 in the first honor system. The issue is PvP went down hill quickly and MoP was probably the last time it was popular. It sure the hell hasn’t been for years now.

And rated PvP sure the hell is less popular than mythic+ has been since Legion.

Same, so guess what, I’ll do you a huuuuuuuuge favor, and use archive links so Twitter doesn’t get clicks. You’re welcome in advance.

there’s the included link but in an archive format for holinka stating the facts about PvP participation

Yeah I did.

And that’s because Blizzard has been refusing to listen to the playerbase, or what remains of them, all the way down to the gearing system. With each passing expansion they continue to show how little they care about the PvP scene. They even removed PvP servers. At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if it was an expansion feature that PvP is gone all together after Shadowlands. Its gotten that bad.

The current PvP gearing system is a gift to mythic raiders, because they have better gear than actual PvPers.

Honestly, I think that is the direct they are aiming for. Just reduce PvP to BGs and arenas and do away with WPvP all together. I doubt they will ever completely do away with it but they will use the failure of “warmode” as an excuse to shut them down.
